Bling

This was one of the 4 cards I offered in my Vintage Two Card class the other night. No stamping necessary at all on this when you have such pretty papers to work with. I used the nesties for the layering and pop dotted the 1st and last layer. I used bling on the flower tips. And then the Cuttlebug embossing borders for the middle. Poof! A card. This paper is My Minds Eye.

More Tiger Tales

Time for another Tiger Tale. This photo is from 2001 when my sister Lisa and I volunteered with the tigers for a day. We got to help bath the cubs. That was my favorite part. But all the volunteers got to have photo taken with a big tiger at the end of the day. I wrapped my arm around that beautiful animal and savored every second. This tigers name is Jess. It was fun getting to know the cubs one year and then the next time I'd see them they'd be big. I have scrapbooks of my tiger adventures. Another awesome reason to scrapbook besides preserving your family photos...........to relive all those fun times too!

Cardinals in Winter

This is another card I got to create over the weekend when I spent it all weekend at the store in my craft studio. (it has a patio door so I will be lofty and call it a studio) ha
I am usually at the store everyday anyway but the guys were youth hunting so I could be here 'guilt free'. It makes the time all that much more fun. I think the creative juices flow better too =)
This card was made with Copics in mind. And I was rigth to assume they'd be great on this image. I was able to blend the female cardinal perfectly and Copics make any brown blend seamlessly. With other markers you see the lines with each stroke. The background paper has glitter in it so then I was compelled to use the new Flower Soft Polar White that also has shimmer in it. It all worked together for a very elegant card.
This will be one offered in my "Winter Wishes" card class Nov. 9th but I also think it can be used for several other types as well. Unfortunely we all need sympathy cards and this would be a beuatiful one for that. Call the store to sign up for this class as I predict this one will fill up fast...it has 3 cards and they all turned out nice. (all from my weekend of fun!) 830-9555

Under Water Shaker Card

This card is for an upcoming Kids Club class. I used the swirl embossing folder on Coredinations cardstock and then sanded it so the 2nd color showed. Then I put a glittery fish paper under my
circle frame and pop dotted it, enclosed it with acetate and filled it with some beads and glitter and poof! You have a shaker card. The kids are going to love it.

Supplies: Coredinations, Bubble Corner punch, mounting foam, acetate, Nestabilities and Cuttlebug.

Floral Vase

This card was done using "Rubber Stamp Tapestry" stamps. These are fun stamps to work with since they are individual stick stamps so you have the freedom of so many different colors per design. The close up shows the Stickles glitter glue.
Supplies: Rubber Stamp Tapestry
Stickles
My Mind Eye Paper
Nestabilites, Cuttlebug embossing folder, versa color inks

Ghost Kitty

Too cute to spook. This is a card I am teaching tonight for a
Kids Club. I love cats so this whimsical image makes me smile. Just think of all the smiles we generate when we give our handmade cards. The photo doesn't show it well but I used Cuttlebug embossing folders on the smaller black rectangles for different textures. The ghost is actually 2 different "Judith" stamps. There are different types of feet to place under the ghost image. I used Copic markers to get the calico kitty look. My very 1st cat was a calico. We carry these stamps in store.
