Beautiful

This is the last page I got created over the weekend. It didn't need a title as the words in background spell out 'beautiful" and 'happpiness'.  So I just added a mat for 5x7 photo and some flowers and suede leaves.

Supplies: Worldwin CS, Autumn Leaves paper, Hero Arts flowers, May Arts leaves, Cuttlebug embossing folder and brads.

Girls Only

Goodmorning.  Busy weekend here so I didn't get as much creating done as I hoped but still got 3 pages and some cards done so I am still pleased. So when I do get to create...I really treasure the time. This is another quick page you could make in under 30 minutes.  I once again used Copic markers to color clear gemstones to match my page. I won't be buying anymore colored gems as I am loving this ability with the Copics.

Supplies: Fancy Pants & Junkitz paper, My Minds Eye stickers and diecut, Hero Arts gems, MS punch and Copic marker.

Daisy Bucket Card

And here is a card made from the leftovers from the previous post. I usually try to make a card right away when I finish a page. Everything is already color coordinated and I don't end up with tons of scraps. I only had a couple 3 inch pieces left this time. I just carried the same design over basically to the card, used a different leaf punch that was more to size and added a butterfly. Poof! A card.
Supplies: Daisy Bucket papers, Marvy butterfly punch, MS leaf punch, Cuttlebug, button and Coredination CS.

Daisy Bucket

Rainy day here today so time to play.
Dawn and I have been busy making pages for sale with papers that only have one left. Seems once they get down to one....noone wants to buy the last one. So then we have to get creative with them to make room for more new papers. This quick and simple page is using only Daisy Bucket papers and Coredination cardstock. I cut to "fringe" the edges on the flowers and to create the grass at the bottom of the stems.

Sweet Sisters

I got to play a little yesterday. I have been making some single pages for sale to restock our basket of them in the store. I usually keep them somewhat simple to keep the price down but I had fun with this one. I  used distress paints, inks, paper distressor to give the edges a shredded look. The patterned paper just drew me in that direction.

Supplies: Fancy Pants paper, Worldwin and Coredinations cardstock, My Minds Eye title, Sizzix fence die, Tim Holtz destressing tool, ink and paint. Pop dots.Versa color ink

Kitties Friend

The kitten made a friend over the weekend. We had friends over and grilled out Sunday....it was beautiful outside!!.  They brought their new puppy and the kitten hung with the puppy all day. My other cats were less then thrilled to have an intruder in their yard. lol

Hedgehog

Good Monday morning!!  Todays card is one that will be in an upcoming Copic workshop I am teaching.
Nice and springy colors and design. Hope you all had a chance to get outside over the weekend and enjoy some of the nice weather we had. I got about 30 minutes weeding in. The kitten followed me from flower bed to flower bed.
Thanks to everyone who came and visited us at our booth at the Expo over the weekend. We had a lot of fun.  And I hope everyone had a chance also to welcome our new neighbors....Down to Earth Garden center and The Living Room coffee shop.  I am sooo excited...I get to just walk next door this morning to get my mocha latte. whoo hoo.

Supplies:  Penny Black stamp, MS punches, Copic markers, Stickles, gems, Daisy D;s paper.

This was made on our Pazzle machine and then embossed with a Cuttlebug folder. I inked after it was embossed.

Supplies: Bird Class folder, inks, twill, twig stamp.

Mouse in Trouble

Here is another that the main card part was finished and then just added an image. You can make card designs ahead of time and then leave blank. This way you have the hard part done and you can just finish as you need them.  I used a paper distresser for the edges of the white paper to give it the 'frazzled' feel since thats the mood the mouse would have.

Supplies: Judith stamps, My Minds Eye and Quick Quotes papers, Copic markers, distresser, cardstocks.

Don't forget we will be at the Scrap & Stamp Expo this Saturday. You can purchase tickets at our store for only $3. They will be $5 at the show. This is our 3rd year particiapating in it. The PEO Chapter does it as their main fundraiser each year and the money they raise goes toward womens scholarships. So its a good cause and a fun day. There are several vendors and door prizes and make-n-takes. So we hope to see you there this Saturday.

Its A Girl

This card was one in our Card Marathon but I am just now getting around to get it on the blog. Lots of
textures used to give it interest.

Supplies: My Minds Eye paper, Doublemates CS, Judith Stubby stamp, Copics, Cuttlebug embossing folders and ribbon.

I wish everyone a safe and fun Easter weekend. We will close at 4:00 today, open normal hours tomorrow and then be closed Sunday for Easter.

New addition

Goodmorning. Anyone who has been following my blog knows I have had a few sparatic visits from kittens over the winter months. Started with 5 and then has been down to 2. We discovered its the neighbors kittens and they are 'just' outdoor cats and not worthy of medicines, etc.  So I have been feeding when I have seen them and such.
Well now I have officially adopted this one. She has been at our place for past month and my husband finally broke down (or I wore him down) and said OH! Fine! Go get it its shots and fixed.  My little inner tail feathers were doing a rapid victory dance.
So now she has a good home and gets plenty of lovings. She is such a purrpuss too. You just touch her and she purrs. All my cats are males and I live in a house with all males so now I will have another female on my side. lol
Ramsey saw one of the other kittens last weekend and it breaks my heart to say he called me at work to tell me it is walking on a broken foot.  Sounds like it has been broken for awhile and has learned to walk on it that way. (so don't be surprized if I end up rescueing yet another kitten) To me...all cats should be pampered and if I won the lottery........I'd have a Cat Sanctuary..big cats and little.
Hug your cat today =)
