Most Wonderful Time of the Year

This card used several dies including the Cheery Lynn Build a Flower....the snowflake is actually off from that die. I used the Spellbinders ovals on the outside and echoed again on the inside. The Tim Holtz house die was cut and then cut again using the oval so it lined up inside the other oval. Viva Pen was used for the snow dots.

Pretty Winter Blues

Happy Black Friday!! Early day here at PT. We open at 7am-3pm. Hope you can make it and take advantage of the annual tiered discounts.

This is another card from my Mondays class this week. This one was my favorite. I love how it turned out. I used Coredinations for the blue so the embossed snowflakes could be sanded to bring out the inner core color. The doily is a Cheery Lynn die and love the detail on it. I use the Cuttlehug when cutting very detailed dies....it makes it sooo much easier. So be sure to grab one the next time you are at the store.
The ribbon was weaved through the white lace and then I added the poinsettia, twigs and bow for final touch. Love the soft elegance of this card.

Holiday Homes

I had my monthly Cards & Coffee class this past Monday so I will be sharing the cards I had for that class. This card totally let the paper do all the work. The snowflake is a Sizzix die and it was cut from the layering piece since you do not see anything but the small sliver around the edges. A Candi Dot was added to the center for a little extra bling.

Joy to the World

Another card from last weeks class. I have used to beautiful poinsettias a lot this year and now they have been out of stock for a month. Urgh. You would think they would be well supplied with a holiday die going into the holidays.  And a little bling in the centers of the flowers adds just the right touch.

Supplies: Stampendous stamp, Spellbinders poinsettia, Pine border punch, CS, May Arts twine.

Christmas Rosette

A quick and simple card and you can use left over pieces of holiday papers as well for the middle section.

In Memory

My youngest and his friends spent several days priming, stenciling and painting this cross in memory of their friend they lost a few weeks ago. I am proud of them for doing this.

Today my first child would have been 22 years old and this boy is about the same age. It is so sad to loose children so young. I send a prayer up for his family every day when I drive by.

Holiday Tag

I did this as a quick idea for our Facebook page but will share here too since not everyone is on FB. Just use your scraps and punch circles, fold in half, and glue together to make the 3D bulb. Then decorate your tag and add the greeting. Poof! A tag.

Christmas Kitty

I have used this Magnolia die set a lot this fall. It comes with the lamppost and the cat die. I beleive the background snowflake flocked paper sold out the night of class but with sooo many beautiful papers to choose from.....it isn't hard to find an alternative.
I placed a small yellow piece of CS behind the light so it looks lite up. And Stickles in the corners of the lamp opening just like my windows look when the wind blows the snow and it is gathered in the corners. The kitty had to have a shimmery winter bow. A ponsettia was added to the top from metallic white and poof! A card.

Seasons Greetings

This card had a lot of elements to it but the look is so worth all the putziness.  The new twig die from Cheery Lynn was used for all the branches. You can also use the MS punch but I am personally thrilled there is finally an alternative. Plus dies are way easier on my wrists then punches.
The tree was just built up from behind the window until it was in the form of a tree. A piece of acetate was added behind the window pane. I added the Flower Soft and Stickles on top of the acetate after everything was assembled.

Supplies: Holtz brick folder, Memory Box window die, Spellbinders banner die, Cheery Lynn twig die, Heartfelt Creations Cardinal stamp set, Copic markers, Stickles, Flower Soft, CS, Acetate, ink technique on Spellbinders die.

Let it Snow

I taught a class Monday night so the next 3 posts will be from that class. I am still enjoying using the white on white. It is so stunning. I pressed the star of the tree and the light on the post into a pad of gold metallic ink to get a distressed gold onto the items. Then added Flower Soft for the snow.
We had our first snow the other day and unfortunately a family from my home town was in an accident and a 9 yr. olds life was lost. It just breaks my heart as we have had way too many of our young children losing their lifes. My boys lost a close friend of theirs over the weekend as well. So hearts and prayers to all the family and friends affected by these losses.

Supplies: Cuttlebug Swiss Dots, Magnolia Paris die set, Cheery Lynn Tree die, Polar White Flower Soft, Poppystamps stamp, My Favorite Things die.

Sunny and Doodly

Aren't they precious? These brothers were in my care this past Sunday while I volunteered for the Animal shelter. They had an adoption event going on at Pet Smart so I picked them up and took them over and stayed for 4 hours and then brought them back to the shelter. They are toooooo cute to be in a shelter. (of course I'd say that about any cat) ha
The left one is Doodly but I called him Mufusa. You can not tell well in the photo but his face didn't have the long hair and then he has this furry mane so he reminded me of a lion. They are little snuggle-bugglers and just super sweet personalities.  Their sister was adopted out Friday.

Framed Poinsettia

Last card from last weeks class. This card sketch was from the blogospere and I just used what tools I had available to me. I added gold Stickles to the flower and twigs and that really added a lot. The gold strips are stickers and are very easy to work with and I have several different styles available. And the ever popular Candi Dot added to the center. The embossing folder is a set from Provo Craft.
Some new, beautiful poinsettia dies came Thurs. and I will be working with them in the future too. I have used this Spellbinder one to death so time for something fresh.

Magnolia Lampost

Another card from last weeks class. I have had a lot of fun with this die set....it also includes a cat. Imagine that! So you will see several different samples with the cat and the post at the store. It is always better to see things in person anyhoo.

Clear Purses

This is from a class I did last week. And since then we have gotten a restock of the purses and also a smaller version now too. I added just a little paper, trim and embellies to it so the gift card would still be visable. This is a super fun way to give the ever boring gift cards. And you could use scraps to accomplish this sweet treat.

Dragonflies

Another last sheet wonder turned into a page-for-sale. I only added the photo matting and then 3 dragonfly diecuts. I then inked the dies with some inks that matched the page and a little around the edges of the page.  Dragonfly is Cheery Lynn.

Santa & Sleigh

Finally the last of the pages I got done this past Sunday.  The close up shows the cool Cheery Lynn sleigh die and the icicles punch.  I used the Sizzix snowflake die as well. A bunch of new dies came in last week so be sure to come and check them out. They really do add a lot to yours pages, cards and 3D projects.

Sweet Memories

Happy Thursday. Since most of my pages-for-sale already sold that I made Sunday....I snuck back into my studio yesteray and managed to get 2 more made before I had to head home.  A doily, flourish and corner die were used on this page. (all Cheery Lynn)  The paper is Webster and was a last sheet. I added to Candi dot to the denter of the flower in cream to tie all the creams together. The extra splash of teal really made the page pop too.
Today several new dies, stamps and embossing folders arrived!! No secret here that I love dies!!

More Halloween pages

More pages for sale. So if you are behind on your scrapbooking...and you have some cute Halloween photos....hop on over to the store and buy them before they are gone. The stickers are still from the one 12x12 sheet and various diecuts were used.
