Season's Greetings

Super duper simple card from the Extravaganza. I used the scorepal for the lines at top left, Sizzix snowflake die and Candi Dots. I am betting you will see them all over the PT gals projects this fall/winter. We love them! Now if the mini's would just start to ship!

Deer

Happy Thursday....and what is Thursday? Why make-n-take Thursday. Here is todays card so be sure to join us between 11-1 to make a fun card for those men in yor life. Mine is already living in the woods bowhunting. He got a doe on his first day but they can get 2 so now he is working on the 2nd one. (poor deer is my comment all the time) The only time I have no sympathy for them is when they have collided with my vehicle!!

The deer die is a Marianne die and the fun animal print paper is Sugartree. The twill is Creative Impressions. If you have hunters in your family....don't forget we have a huge hunting/camping/fishing section at Picture This all year round.

Snowflake Trifold

Happy Wednesday! I have not done a trifold in a long time....I think the last one I did was a couple years ago and I had done a trifold birthday card for our Fab 5 Design Team with a hole and a cupcake dangling in the denter.  We get so used to doing the standard A2 that we forget all the cool designs our there. Challenge yourself to do a different fold this week.

This paper is in our wedding section but since we were on a marathon to get a ton of Christmas projects done for our Extravaganza this past weekend.....I spotted it and instantly thought swirling snow. And the rest is history. You could flip it and do it as a wedding invite as well...haha...the obvious. Or use the cool white glittery patterns in the wedding section for the base of your winter cards.

Hillside Winter

Goodmorning! We have all seen this fun die used in various ways. The only thing I did different was use our Ice Silver metallic cardstock and textwight. We carry many colors in the cardstock and text weight. And I find myself using the white a lot for the holidays. The shimmer just adds a lot to the wintery projects. Then Stickles was added for more glitz. It's all about glitz and glam right?  Super easy card to create for your holiday card giving.

Heal soon

Goodmorning. This was our make-n-take this past Thursday. I had seen the purple mulberry paper while I was helping a customer and since I have been on a flower kick lately....I could so see these together. The flower is done with the Spellbinder Rose Creaton die...I use that a lot. It is metallic paper so very elegant looking in person. The sentiment is stamped using white ink. The pretty mini flourish is a Cheery Lynn die.

Happy Crafting.

Noel Page

Happy Sunday!! I am guessing you will see a lot of Christmas ideas now that our Christmas Extravaganza is over. It was a lot of fun. We had 82 samples this year to inspire the attendees, treats and everyone won more then one door prize.  A lot of hard work goes into our events so I am thankful for the people who take time out of their busy schedules to attend. Thank you.

This page is done with squares from 2 papers and cardstock. I used the Tim Holtz rosette  and My Favorite Things alpha die and tag dies. And the circle sayings are from an Authentic sticker sheet. So I have plenty more for more cards or pages.

Shabby Chic

Last card from class. This card can also be made using scraps. A lot of fun dies were used to make this card: Spellbinders Pendants and Circles, Cherry Lynn Doily, Magnolia Dragonfly, MFT tickets. And the MS fern punch and hydrangia punch. Add a little Bakers Twine and a button and poof! You have a shabby chic card.

Seeing Circles

Goodmorning. Hope everyone can get to us today....they are sealcoating the north side of the lot. So you will actually go past our drive and come in the 2nd Garden Center drive and around to our front.

This card was just using lots of circles from the Spellbinders die set. You could even use scraps to do this. I coordinated all 3 cards for class but this one and the next card I post tomorrow could be done using all scraps from your stash.

Sending thoughts

Just finished teaching Cards & Coffee class today so for a change....will get photos uploaded to the blog right away. I took sketches off line and used what things I had that were similiar.  For the white front we cut the fern out and then glued the checkered paper behind and then pop-dotted it to the base of the card.
The coordinating Heartfelt Creations stamp set was used on the inside with Peeled Paint Distress ink and a Hero Arts sympathy set for the 2 sayings.

Easter '04

I was up to the store over the weekend organizing and creating. And I decided to get a personal page done since my youngest graduation will be here soon so I need to start working on some pages for that. These photos are from way back in '04 but hey! They matched a paper I wanted to work with.

I fussy cut the flowers from a second sheet to make the 2 page layout and then punched the twigs from the leftovers. The tiny pearls were added throughout the layouts.
The cute bunny is a diecut we sell at Picture This. I just added a note for journaling from the leftover piece as well and inked the edges of the bunny.
I looked forward to Easter every year. Chocolate, bunnies and muddy paw prints!! I would go out late at night or early in the morning and get some dirt and add some water to make mud to make the prints.

'Die'lightful Page

This page was made using a lot of dies. I kept telling my scrapbooking customers how awesome dies are
to use on your pages. Most think they are just for card making. Nope. Nope. Nope. I love using them on both cards and pages and therefore getting more value for the investment as well.
The rosettes are the Tim Holtz dies. These 2 come on the same die. The flowers are the Rose Creation die set by Spellbinders. I use that set a lot! Love it.
The detailed doily and flourish are Cheery Lynn dies and you have also seen me use these a lot too. A border die of Tim's was used going down the side as well. And then MS butterfly punches.  And the results are a soft, pretty page.

Cat Fun

It is suppose to be very windy today so I brought Lucy's cat tunnel in the house so it wouldn't blow away. Well I think all the cats thought it was a new toy so I left both ends open and they were chasing each other through it while I was getting ready for work. (birds eye view from my bedroom loft)

Happy Birthday to my hubby today.

Thoughts and prayers to all who lost a loved one on 911.

Butterfly Flight

Another page for sale I got accomplished Saturday.  All the mattings, punches and dies were out of my scraps that are now organized. The sun die is a My Favorite Things, the butterflies and hydrangea punches are MS. One of my reps comes this morning to show more new product released since CHA. (sigh)  And Wed. my rep for American Crafts, Studio Calico, Crate and Pebbles is coming from Utah to show their mid release too. (double sigh)  We are still receiving shipments from orders placed at show and now some have yet more releases. Crazy.
The huge order I placed at show for Washi tape from Queen & Co. is on its way. I ordered lots and lots of different designs and colors. So that will be a super fun shipment to put through the POS and get on the floor.

Be Afraid!!

Another page for sale. I should save this one for Lucy because of the 'be afraid'. Fits her to a T. lol
The title is a Quick Quotes vellum quote. The bats are Spellbinders dies and the corner accents is one of the new dies from Cheery Lynn. If you are a scrapbooker and are not using dies....you are missing out. You can use your scraps for a lot of the dies and they really add to your pages without adding much in the way of cost.  I think I use dies on practically everything I create.

Beginner scrappers....be sure to check out the webiste for some awesome classes Tracy is doing on Scrapbooking 101, 102 and 103.

Miss Lucy

I promised a sweet little girl I'd get a photo on my blog of Miss Lucy in her new pink harness I found for her. The first time I put it on her I thought she'd win the battle because she was having none of it. But I think she realizes now when it goes on....she gets to be loose in the grass. (she is usually in a mesh cat tunnel about 7 feet long so being tied out in the grass is freedom to her I am sure)

Playful

Happy Saturday! I hope your day is going well. I got to the store bright and early and cleaned the hamster cages and then sorted through all of my scrap cardstock and organized it all into drawers so it will be easier to find now when I need a 'piece' of a certain color for all these fun diecuts. So after I got everything all organized and cleaned up....then I started on pages for sale. I should be working on the Christmas Extravaganza but today I just need to do what I feel like doing.
And it was soooo easy to do 4 pages using all scraps from my now organized drawers for all the mattings, diecutting and punches. That makes a person feel good to use up from the endless stockpile of scraps!!

Being Sick Just Stinks

Goodmorning! I was up at the store all Labor Day creating for the Card Casserole and trying to get rid of some odds and ends. I made 2 of these cards for our Cards-for-Sale. I love the inside stamp. I will be using it on another card in an upcoming make-n-take that I think is just way funny. So be sure to watch for that.
The stamp used on the front is one from my personal collection so it not available at Picture This.

Happy Birthday

Goodmorning. I am excited to launch something new this week at Picture This. We are starting a
Card Casserole every Thursday from 2-6pm. we will still have our free make-n-take from 11-1 but this
is something that has been in the prep stages for a bit and it finally starts this Thurs.
The card above will be one of the cards for choice in the Casserole. We will have several each week to choose from and they will change every week as well. When each design is gone...its gone. The white Noel from yesterdays post is another one that will be in this weeks Casserole. Prices will vary obviously according the ingredients per card.

White Noel

Another spin on the Noel card but in monochromatic. This was a fun idea off from the worldwide web. I just made it work for products we had on hand at the store. The poinsettia die has Stickles added around the edges to make it really pop. The alphabet is a My Favorite Things die.

Noel

Third card from class. This one was using mostly dies. Think of how many cards you can get out of the one sheet of holly paper? Alot. So just cardstock, one sheet of paper, ribbon and Candi Dots would make a lot of cards for Christmas....and wouldn't cost much either.  If you are looking for xmas card ideas...then be sure to register for our Christmas Extravaganza.

You can see I used Glimmer Mists on this card for a little sparkle. Just spritz it and poof! You have glitz!

Supplies: My Favorite Things alphabet die set & Uppsie Daisies die set. Authentic paper, CS, ribbon, Tattered Angels glimmer mist and Candi Dot.

Elegant Poinsettia

Here is the 2nd card from class. The flowers are from a package of flowers. I used Mirricard behind the poinsettia. And on the inside I repeated the greeting with mirricard for matting to tie it all together. The pretty
swirl is a Cheery Lynn mini flourish. I have the mini, medium and large of the flourish since I love it so much.

Forgot to post the other day that Thurs. night I took my youngest boy with me to the Animal Shelter to go through orientation to be volunteers there. It is a good thing and a bad thing for me. I got teary eyed walking through seeing all the dogs and cats that are in cages and should be in loving homes instead. I am hoping Ramsey will enjoy helping out there. I will be spending most of my time in the 'Cat Colony".  Most are in cages but in the Colony room it is all older cats loose and hanging out on cat trees, ledges and in stackable surfaces. I am assuming these are the old ones noone hardly ever adopts. So it is my mission to give them lots of lovings when I go. So I will keep you posted of my experiences there.

Cardinal in Snowfall

Happy September!! This year is flying. Today my youngest turns 17 and tomorrow we take my oldest to Platteville for his 3rd year of college. Where does the time go!??!

This card was from a Christmas card class I taught this past week. I will be posting 4 from that class. I should have taken a close up for the Flower Soft. But short on time here today. I am at the store trying to get a zillion things done and my list is always longer then I have time for.  Urgh.

Supplies: Moxxie paper, Memory Box Twiggy Tree die, K & Co resin cardinal, Polar White Flower Soft..
