Well we have a lot of things in the works for you all here at PT and I am excited to announce one of them this morning to our blog followers.  Picture This will be part of a bus tour with 2 other scrapbook stores. The final details will be on our website and in-store mid-week but our loyal Facebook and Blog fans get 1st notice and the chance to call and get your name on the list first.

The big day is October 16th. You will start your trip here at PT and then ride to Rochester and then on to Bloomington. All 3 stores will have 1-2 free make-n-takes for you. We will provide you food and refreshments at each stop. Each particiapabt will receive a goody bag. P.S. The fall colors should be in full swing by then too so it will not only be a fun ride....it will be beautiful as well.

Goodmorning! Been busy so sorry no posts for a week. We have a lot brewing her at PT for you gals. Our new Graphic 45 came in last week and I was waiting to share this CHA photo with it. They had an awesome booth at CHA. Really went all out to decorate in themes of their new lines. These 2 were dressed the part for the Mad Hatter line. How fun. Loved their booth and we love their paper. It has been flying out of here. Get yours before its gone.
Today we have our free make-n-take featuring Unity stamps. So be sure to stop on buy and get a deal on any Unity stamp set during the make-n-take time period.  See ya soon!

Happy Birthday Annette

Its is one of my dear friends birthday today!! So I altered a card I did for class the other day to individualize it for Annette.  I sanded the cardstock after it was embossed. The Coredinations has a 2nd color inside so when you sand it....that hidden color shows. Works awesome with the embossing folders!!

Supplies: Copic Markers, Inkadinkadoo stamps, Amuse ribbon, Cuttlebug embossing border, Coredinations, Bo Bunny paper, Nestabilities.

Sorry Sam

Goodmorning. The weather has been so nice this week. Hope everyone is getting some time to enjoy it.
I did get some creating done over the weekend and shared with my gals in class yesterday. But then my youngest son and I drove 10 hours round trip to Illinios to see my grandma for 4 hours. She isn't doing well and has hospice now. It breaks my heart as she is my rock. Everyone who knows me knows she is a part of my every day.

This was a fun card I did for my last Copic 101 class and will also in my upcoming "Judith" card class. I thought it was just too cute to offer just once.

Supplies: Copic markers, My Minds Eye papers, Spellbinders die, May Arts ribbon, Judith stamp, Momento Ink, white luster CS.

Foggy

It was REALLY foggy when I came to work this morning. And its just icky out there already with the stickiness.  It will be very hot and humid today. So my solution for you..........come to our free make-n-take this morning and then stay for the day in the cool classroom and create the day away.  =)

Something new

One of my sales reps was here last night and showed me a new company I missed at CHA.  (as many times and miles that we walk at trade shows...it just amazes me how much is still missed. I'll have to ask Dawn and Annette is they saw this)  Anyhoo......Elaine showed me and I love it and so I am bringing this in as well. Very cool stuff. Microfine glitter and unique shimmer sheets we can run thru the Cuttlebug and sand or ink or leave as is in different colors. We love anything we can use with the awesome green Cuttlebug machine! Another product to be all excited over and anxiously awaiting to arrive.

Lilacs

Time for a little inspiration instead of all the photos from CHA.  Here is a card from my Copic class I taught last night. Cards with the bigger area of coloring are so easy now using the Copics. I added glitz to the finished product with the Spica pen.

Supplies: House Mouse stamp, Momento Ink, White Luster CS, Copic Markers, Clear Spica, patterned paper. I have included a photo of colors used for your convenience.

More new stuff!!

We got more new arrivals that we ordered at CHA yesterday!! Wow! They are quick this year. Some companies we wait months for.  This is some of the beautiful ribbons from May Arts. Won't they be awesome to add to our projects!? And the new fall & winter papers from Imaginisce. Double-sided.
I know the entire line we ordered from My Minds Eye should arrive within the next week.  And we are doing a Facebook prize here coming up so if you are not a Fan....you'll want to become one.

Tim Holtz workshop

The gals had fun at the all day workshop of Holtz techniques here this past Saturday taught by Barb P.  I bet they laid awake at night thinking of all the endless possibilities with everything they learned.  Barb will be doing some more classes this fall on Tim's various techniques.

Summer Page

Here's some quick inspiration for you and idea for quick page. I did this the other night for a kids class. They had a blast stamping the bottom border. Just pick a pretty paper........and since we have over 6000!!!...that should be easy.....then I cut white cardstock to 3 inches and used various flower stamps I had on hand and Tombow markers to color the stamps and poof!  Beautiful page.  I added a little hummingbird charm for extra character to the page.

Supplies: Tombow markers, EK Success corner punch, Cuttlebug embossing folder, May Arts ribbons, Swirl accent, cardstock and patterned paper.

Magnolia

This is one of the new stamp companies we are bringing in from our trip to CHA. I am very excited about this one.  You see them all over Splitcoast Stampers and they are adorable and they are great to use with Copics!!   So I will be anxiously awaiting our 1st shipment from them.

Copic Alert:  I hung around the Copic Booth quite a bit watching the demonstrator color and pick up some new techniques. I chatted too...imagine that.  There is a lot of misinformation out there on Copics and why they have been doing Certification classes all over world....to get the correct info out there.  So beware if you take a Copic class and your  instructor is NOT certified.  Everyone who is certified has given of their time and $ to attend several hours worth of class to be properly informed.
We have 3 Certified Copic Instructors onboard here at "Picture This".  So I am just spreading the word to not take everything you are taught at a non-certified class to heart.

Tim Holtz

Here is the talented man we all love!! He was teasing me right before this was shot. He has a lot of cool things coming out and we ordered it all.  Tim was all over the CHA floor. He has product under so many different companies so he kept bebopping from one booth to the next.

This Saturday our Barb P is teaching an all day class on all the various Tim Holtz techniques. It is a very technique full class. We pay big bucks to take his classes and learn all of these so you should take advantage of having someone who loves the product and is knowledgable here to teach you and get the hands on. I know there are a few spots left. So call and reserve your spot. (715)830-9555.
Come see and learn why he is so popular.  We love his things at the store and have an entire 'Tim Holtz" corner. After all his new product arrives from CHA.....it will have to expand a little more...agian. We even hit some antique stores on way home from Chicago to find trinkets to resell for all you altered gals. That was fun.

New Flower Soft

Wow! Another shipment alredy from an order placed at CHA!! You will notice new micro colors added and then our restocking of colors we were low on. This product is very easy to work with and I do recommend the Flower Soft glue. Its inexpensive but works with the Flower Soft whereas I have tried other adhesives and just stick with their glue. We carry the entire line of regular and micro colors.

Peachy Keen

Goodmorning!! We are having very humid weather here this week. I have given up on my flowers beds....at this point the weeds are flowering so they look like they belong. LOL
We picked up this stamp company while at CHA along with another one I am very excited over. Both have images that will go great with the Copics. And better yet, this company is out of northeastern Wisconsin and family owned!!! Above is the husband/wife owners and it was nice meeting them. She had said we'd be the 1st in our area to carry their stamps but I have learned since this is not so. But none the less, I am happy to have another USA made product.  They even have some Green Bay Packer images!!! I know a few crazed Packers in my family I can now make fun cards for and I am sure you all have a few of them in your acquaintance as well  =)   Stay cool today.

Our "My Minds Eye" guys

Here is some smiley faces to put to the names we mention all the time. Cam is on the right and he has been our go-to guy at My Minds Eye. You may recall the great donation he did for our  last years Scrap Pink?  And giving us a guest spot on their blog. Well Cam is moving up and Jake will be our new go-to guy. (left)
Since we order almost everything My Minds Eye releases......I get a lot of phone time with them.

With each new post I will give you more faces and stories from CHA. We picked up some new companies I am very excited to get in.  And yesterday we ALREADY got a shipment from an order placed at CHA. Wow!

The new release of My Minds Eye was placed just before CHA so I'd be sure to get in the store before the pile up of orders placed at CHA.  Orders are always slowed way down after huge trade shows, as you can imagine when they have everyone placing orders at one time.
So watch for the entire huge huge collection of "Lost & Found" hitting our store in about 2 weeks. There are several collections under this category so a lot of lovliness for us to drool over.
