Waterfall

This was a hidden treat at the Duluth Zoo. It was hidden up on a trail. I love waterfalls...they are so calming.
I used the new triangle Spellbinder nestie and then sanded the edges. Since it was My Minds Eye paper....I used the back solid color and I have mentioned many times I use it for sanding all the time.

Supplies: Triangle Spellbinders die, My Minds Eye and Flair paper, Creative Impressions ribbon, MME diecut, brads.

Lake Michigan

I want to be there instead of here in the winter.  The photo was from a trip Dawn, Annette and I took 2 years ago up to Michigan stopping at scrap/stamp stores along our way. We got some beautiful photos from our trip and I need to start putting them on pages.
This is using coordinating paper and the Cuttlebug dandylion diecut to make the flower. There was actually enough to make 2 pages....I put one in our basket for sale but you could easily make a 2 page layout and very quickly. Everyone gets short on time but if you keep things simple....you can still create and still make pretty pages you can will enjoy for years to come.

Supplies: Scribble Scrabble papers, Cuttlebug lower die, button, Fiskars border punch, string, CS.

Your Kindness

Goodmorning! Happy Saturday. This card features a lot of My Minds Eye product and then Just Rites were used for the sentiment. They work great with the Nestibilites and they even are working together with Spellbinders so their things will line up perfect with the nestie designs. Very cool. we have several of the Just Rite stamp sets that exclusively fit the Nesties so stop in by and check them out.

Yesterday we already received our Best Creations new 20011 released at CHA and Karen Foster and the new House Mouse and the new colors of Stickles!! How fun!!  And everyones new releases will be arriving now over the next couple months. Dawn loved the Pink Paisley so we ordered that. Of course we ordered Graphic 45....they have stamps now!!!  And thats just a fraction so stay tuned to the store blog for new releases.

Magnolia

Goodmorning!!
Congrats to Dory who was the winner of our Fab 5 for January. We hope you all had fun following for the week and got lots of ideas. I received the new "Judith" catalog this week and loving lots of her new images!!

Todays blog post is using a Magnolia stamp. I had done this card for my last Copic 101 class. If you are not sure about investing in copics.....look at the shading on the hair...you simply can not do that with any other marker.  We love the Copics at Picture This.

Supplies: Copics, Momento ink, white Luster CS, Magnolia stamp, Nesties, Tim Holtz embossing folder

Little Treasures

My challenge for this project was a sheet of stickers. I was determined to use the whole sheet.  Give yourself challenges and you will amazed what you can do. Have a pile of old papers or odds and ends stickers? Then make yourself use some of it every time you create. You will soon get that pile down and then you'll feel good about it and have room for the new stuff!!
I was able to use everything except one sticker between the double page layout and a card. The remaining sticker will be easy to use on future project.

Supplies: WeRMemories boy sticker sheet, CS, 3 Bugs in a Rug papers, CS, ribbon, Judith bird stamp.

Flower Soft ~ Cardinal

Here is another Judith stamp. I added the Polar Flower Soft to the branches when it was all done to add the look of snow. And we all have had our share of snow this winter.  The green paper is the backside of My Minds Eye. They always have a coordinating color on the back and I use them alot for the sanding quality in the Cuttlebug. It has a white core so that shows when you sand the raised embossed part. I also inked the raised part as well.

I just received the new "Judith" flyer today in the mail. Awesome. There are several already I want. We all love the cute Dorky bird...well now there will be a dorky stubby. lol  I will share just a sprinking. (stubby coke bottle, cancer ribbon, dice, hotdog, recipe card and chickadee. More clothes to dress the bigger Dorky bird. Utencil stamps. A kitty witch that I WILL have to have. So lots of funness coming our way. And did you know "Judith" is out of Minnesota? Yup. The majority of our stamp companies we carry are made in the USA.

Supplies: Judith stamp, Copics, Nesties, Cuttlebug emboss folder, Flower Soft, Distress ink, CS, My Minds Eye papers, string.

Fab 5 ~ Day Five

Goodmorning!!  It is freezing in Wisconsin this morning!!!!!  For todays card I used the stick heart wreath and just let my Cuttlebug and Nesties do all the work. I inked the edges with a matching burgudy and added a black gem to keep with the color theme.  On the inside a MS heart border punch was used.

We hope you all were inspired this week by one or many of our ideas. I spoke to Terri at the "Judith" office today and they are releasing 100 NEW stamps!!!! The new catalog goes to print here soon. She literally just got the proof on her desk today. So that is exciting. We will keep you informed.

Be sure to leave a comment on any of our blogs this week  and we will announce the lucky winner of some goodies on Monday.

Fab 5 ~ Day Four

Happy Thursday!!  This week is flying by. Don't forget to pop on out to the store for our make-n-take this morning.
I used several stamps on this card and I have used these same stamps on many other cards in many different ways before. On the front I distressed the edges to give it more of a weathered look and all I had was a silver swirl and that didn't really match so I pushed it into my yellow and then black Staz On ink pads to tone it down some. If I had more time..then I'd have heat embossed it a copper.  On the inside I have the Dorky bird peeking out of a basket.

Supplies: Judith stamps, ribbon, Copic markers, Momento Ink, CS, Fiskars border punch and Paper Loft paper. Now hop on over to the other gals blogs for more inspiration!! And don't forget to leave a comment.

Fab 5 Day Three

Welcome to day three. Today I choose to work with the naked tree and I added the poor little mouse to it and his friend looking on. On the inside I used the Just Rites and wrote out the phrase "Got Cheese".  And I love her little stubby stamp of the mice feet and I just stamped it across the card so it resembles a mouse strutting over it.
Don't forget Thursday for our make-n-take you will get to play with the bare tree as well. Fun. fun.

Supplies: Judith and Just Rite stamps, My Minds Eye paper, Copics, Border punch and Coredinations.

Guest ~ Amy ~ Day Three

Here is Amys for day three. I just love how she hid the bear behind the outhouse door. Too cute. On the inside of card she also stamped "Have you ever had one of those days?"   I see she likes My Minds Eye papers too.

Supplies" Judith stamps, My Minds Eye papers, CS, Copics, string, Nesties.

Fab 5 ~ Day Two

Welcome to day two. Today I used one of her newer stamps....Raggity Anne. This one will also be in the Judith class I will be instructing in February so you will get some hands on with the Copics.  I had a Copic 101 last night and I just have to share how far our wonderful customers travel. It always amazes me. Last night some of them traveled from Medford, Menomonie and Arcadia.

Supplies: Judith stamp, Dreamstreet papers, CS, Momento ink, Copic markers, Nestabilites, May Art ribbon and distress ink. (die left on after cutting to distress the inside...on close up you can see this leaves an additions ring for more visual interest)

Be sure to hop on over to the other Fab 5 blogs for more ideas.

Guest Fab 5 ~ Day 2 ~ Amy H

Amy's card for today has the adorable chicks. She also added the rock border and some flowers off to the right....all of which are "Judith" stamps.   And colored all of her images with Copics.

Be sure to leave a comment on any of our Fab 5 postings this week for a chance to win some goodies.

Love Birds

Need an idea for a quick page to help get caught up on your scrapping? This one is not only easy....it is also budget friendly. You can switch the papers out for any you have on hand.  The love bird diecut is from the We R Memories collection that is exclusive to independant stores and very very reasonably priced. Every month is something else cool.  And I finally got to use my Tim Holtz birdcage die.

Supplies: Basic Grey SugarRush paper, CS, We R Memories embossed diecut, Tim Holtz die, May Arts ribbon, MS heart border punch.

Family Photo

Happy Wednesday!! I am busy today turning papers that only have one sheet left into pages for sale. When we straighten....it never fails there are always tons of one sheeters and we always want them gone to make room for the new. We love new!! And it always seems every wants to leave the last sheet for some reason. So today I gathered a few and whipped them into pages and they will go into the Pages for Sale Basket.

You can do the same at home. Go through your stash of papers and if there are some that go with nothing else..then pull them out and create a page. Sometimes you just have to challenge yourself to do it. You'll see how easy it is and you will feel good knowing you are using what you already have on hand.

I  created a miter frame by cutting from corner to corner and then inked where the miters came together. The photo doesn't do it justice but it looks like a frame.

Supplies: Best Creations, Metallic CS, Embossing folder, brad

Boys and their Toys

And here the another page made out of same sticker sheet for a Page Kit. Both kits hit the floor today.  Everything is precut for you so you just assemble. They both are limited edition since I used the last of the sticker sheets and each kit includes the entire sheet. So you can buy one kit and you already have the idea for the other page to utilize all of your stickers. There will also be some left for you to create a third page.

Supplies: Bo Bunny sticker sheet, Reminisce and Moxxie papers, CS and TPC Studio gear embellie.
*Go to next post to see the other page.

My Guy

Happy Sunday!! The sun is shining but it is cooooold outside. Brrr.  I had made up 2 pages for Page Kits Friday and took all the components home yesterday to cut. I would've stayed in my home all day but I had to go to my sons basketball game last night.. Nice just hunkering down at home for a change for most of the day.  Each page is utilizing a sticker sheet from Bo Bunny. Each kit includes the entire sheet. I will post the other page next. Our Picture This kits have all the hard work done for you. We always have several to choose from and keep making fresh ones as the others sell out. So if you are behind on your scrapping.....this is an awesome option to get some done quick!

Supplies: Bo Bunny sticker sheet, CS, brads.

Snow Branch

I hope everyone makes time to do what you love this year....create!!!  I locked myself in the store for 11 hours yesterday and just created nonstop with no interuptions. Loved it!  I don't get time often enough to do that but it is my goal this year to find more time.

Some of the cards from yesterday are for our upcoming Fab 5 so I can't share them until the 17th. And some are for upcoming classes. So in due time.

This card was just to play with the new Cut/Emboss Plus that I got and wanted to try.  I added Flower Soft to the stamped parts that represented snow. And then added more visual fun with Liquid Applique to create a soft snowfall.

Supplies: Carly Cut/Emboss Plus, Copic markers, Momento ink, Flower Soft, Great Impression stamp, Liquid Applique, CS.

Happy New Year

I hope this year is better for everyone then last year. I have noticed some new stores opening in our area so that is a optimistic sign. This last year was very hard on the independant stores. I know the scrapbooking/stamping arena lost many great stores in Wisc/Minn. this past year. And it is sad to loose that talent and then to only have the small selection of Big Box Stores once you loose your area independants. We are hanging tough here at PT and still giving you awesome customer service, great quality, HUGE selection and we love sharing our passion for this industry with you.  Thanks for your continued support of our store.

I had done this easel calander for a class and then made some of them for Christmas gifts. The flowers are handmade from the matching paper using 3 different circle scalloped punches and then cutting them in a swirl pattern, wrap into a bud and poof! A flower.

Supplies: My Minds Eye paper, MS butterfly punch, Marvy sc. cirlce puches, Hero Arts pearls, Nesties, brad and CS.
