Curious Cat

Clyde was here a little over a month so he had several photo ops and lots of time to help us in the office and up front.
We started a Facebook page for the cats right away so people could follow their story and everyone got a kick out of our Attack Cat photo.  (picturethiskittyadoptiontails)
He was always checking out every fax that came in. Clyde's seal of approval.
Papers used are Fancy Pants and the dies are Cheery Lynn.

Clyde & Cosmo

Clyde got to be here during the time of Cosmo....our store mascot hamster. He just checked him out and never bothered Cosmo.
The cats here have lots of visitors and some come just to see the cats. And some have many repeat visits from the same people. This young lady has grown before my eyes since I bought PT. Her favorite cat was Clyde.  And the cutie on the bottom is my nephew checking out the current cat.
I used diecuts on this page to accent and bring out the flowers in one of the photos and choose this paper to match the sweater. I usually start with the photos and then go onto the paper and then onto matching cardstocks and then onto the fillers.

Clyde

This was the first cat we started out with here at Picture This from ECCHA. We started in Feb. as an off-site to help them adopt more kitties out. And it has been going great. Clyde was our first 'assignment'. I think everyone got attached to him and his story. Well we have all these photos of all the cats so we decided to start a scrapbook just for them and their stories.

We thought this was the funniest photo ever. He was laying along the grid and his furr was rippled through. We had to laugh. Purrfect photo op!!
Carlita, one of our current residents was trying very hard to help me get photos taken for the blog. Lol. Hopefully we will be scrapbooking her and her brothers adoption story soon!

Peppermint Candies

This paper was the backside of a previous project so I was just using up the leftover pieces. I added the small and medium doily dies by Cheery Lynn and red ribbon. Can't get any easier then that!!

Snow Angel

I bought this cute stamp a year ago to do a Copic class and just got to use it this year. And Copic markers make coloring bigger images soooo easy. If you haven't ventured into the realm of Copics yet......take the plunge. They are so worth every penny. Most aren't aware that the markers are refillable, you can replace the tips but they are stronger than your average marker so they last way longer then the tips on say Tombows and Stampin Up.  They have never discontinued any colors so you won't be slowly building up your supplies to have them discontinued like Stampin Up and have to start all over. They are a high end artist marker.

Judith Kitty

Another card from a Copic class. We offer a variety of classes all the time and they are fun, informative and everyone always needs a card. So feel good knowing you are supporting a small business and having fun doing so.

Day Lily Montage

We have an exclusive paper at Pictue This of local areas that I am super pumped about. I will be sharing them as I get to play with them. Meanwhile, I did get to get a sample made yesterday for McRice from one of their 2 new Montages. We will have them at Picture This exclusively until January...then they start selling to other stores. This is one of the photos off from one of their new Montages. I made a sample to send to them and a sample for the store.
On this one I used a scrap of ribbon that had shimmer so I added Stickles to the butterfly diecut.
On this one which is a sample for the store...I added brand new colored twine we just got in this week. And then 3 drops of yellow liquid pearls. Beautimous!!

Sweet

Last of my pages-for-sales again until nest time. This one used a lot of pieces left over and it is always a good feeling to use leftovers.  Always, always, always!!
Here I used one of my Memory box die sets for the stem/leaves. I love dies. No secret there. And I hear often from Scrapbookers how they don't use dies.  They honestly add so much to your projects and you can use your left over pieces of cardstocks for your dies. We love the  Cuttlebug at Picture This and have stayed true to it for the entire 7 years I've been here. Love it.  And ALL the great dies being released work in the Cuttlebug.
I did a Girlscout group class a month ago and the girls loved loved loved playing with the Cuttlebug. I saw by their FB posts that some have added that to their Christmas wish list.  =)   The gift of creativity is priceless.

Orange Delight #2

I was using up pieces left from previous page and previous projects.  I hear so often that scrapbooking is expensive. Nope. It is what you make it. Yes, I have made some $10 pages but you can also make nice pages for under $1.  So it is entirely up to each person and there is no wrong or right. Some do it to preserve generations, preserve memories, pass on down to children, for the creative outlet, for trying new things......the list goes on and on.
I added some printed washi tape and then smudged paprika ink all over the page to tie it all together. Poof! A page. And that too is another thing......it can take you hours or minutes and once again.no right  or wrong. Whatever satisfies your soul.

Happy Scrapping,
Leann

Orange Delight

Don't you just love all the different wood textures of patterned paper available today? We do! We carry a bunch. I cut some banners for filler and added a matching flower and keep it simple for a cozy
country look.
I used Tim Holtz's tiny stapler for an added accent to hold the bakers twine in place. It's all in the
details ladies.

Teal Delight

Thanksgiving Day I was up at the store for 5 hours hanging with the cats, doing bookwork and creating some pages. We didn't have our dinner until Friday night so I took advantage of the guys being out in the woods. So I will be posting them over the next few days.

Don't forget we have a Customer Craft Fair at Picture This tomorrow. There is always a nice selection. One vendor already set up today and I bought 2 pairs of handmade earrings. Don't you love
supporting local?

Craft Fair

Our Customer Craft Fair went over so well for our vendors last month that they asked if we would please do another one. So ladies......mark your calendars for Dec. 7th 10-430 pm.   You can get some unique gifts for Christmas shopping.  The Garden Center also has their Ladies in the Greenhouse the same day so this will be the most creative lane in EC that day!!!

Correspondence

Last of my pages-for-sale from Saturday. Hopefully you all got to create more then 3 pages while the men were hunting. I think they are insane! I got groceries that morning and froze just loading all that into the car. Burr! Burr! Burrrrrr!!!
Paper had a hint of shabby chic to me so I used the distressing tool to shred the edges of the page and photo mats to carry the theme through. The butterfly on the page matched Tim Holtz's Walnut ink perfectly so I smudged and inked throughout the page to tie it all together.  The flower is frombook pages and the Rose Creation die was used to cut the flower. The brad matched the little butterflies and had a shimmer to it so that tied in well with the glitter already on the page.

Birdie Birdie

Another page-for-sale from Saturday. This one I used a few layers on the photo mats since it would wipe out that line of paper and I wouldn't have any scraps laying around I still felt I had to use.
I used the Build A Flower Cheery Lynn die to make a cream cherry blossom to go with the page. And I had the bird cage and bird left over from a past project that matched the colors on the paper so poof! A page.

Cherry Blossom

Ran up to the store bright and early this morning to do boring bookwork but then rewarded myself by doing a few pages-for-sale. I haven't gotten to make any in quite awhile and I enjoy just being able to grab whatever and not have to worry whether it's product current and in-stock.
Here I layered butterflies on a diecut doily.
Scraps were used for these little butterflies and then I used the Viva Pen to do pearl dots for the
flight patterns. This was also done on the 3D butterfly and the banners.

Poinsettia Negative

On this card I cut the poinsettias our but then put a piece of red behind so it is actually the negative used on this card. Then the cut outs can be used on another project. So always remember to use your negative images as well so get more for your buck.  The leaf diecuts are Cheery Lynn and then Candi Dots were added for the centers. I pop dotted the white panel for added interest. Another easy idea for your Christmas cards. You could crank several of these out in no time.

Joy

This is a card from a past class and it was featured in our Christmas Extravaganza as on of the make-n-takes too. I am just way behind getting things posted. I do not have much time now with the store and the retreat so all my postings on this blog with be irratic. Sorry. But you have the store for constant fresh ideas, inspiration and the joy of walking the ilses and seeing all the new stuff. Just can't get that buying online. Small Business day is coming up the end of this month and all small businesses need customers to survive. I appreciate each and every one of mine.
The inside is a diasy diecut by Cheery Lynn and I used tweezers to curl the petals inward. The poinsettia is a Spellbinders die.

Pretty Poinsttia Treat

Here is a easy holiday gift idea for you. You can even use your leftover Christmas papers from last year.  Just fold it up into a 'purse type' design and have your bag of treats inside. Or a small gift. Whatever your creative mood is feeling. Tie a bow to hold it all together and slap on a flower and poof! A fun, easy, quick treat gift. This can be done any time of year with different elements for the occasion.  The beautiful paper is My Minds Eye and I love the teal added to all the holiday papers this year.

Flowers and dies

This card is also made from book pages. I had done a 3 card class featuring flowers from pages and dies. This one was colored with Distress Inks and just pouncing the color onto the diecuts.
I also added a butterfly diecut to the inside for more interest. Lots of compnaies dies were used. We love dies and love the selection out there so creativity can't be limited to just one.

Handmade flowers

These fun flowers were made from pages out of an old book. I spritzed them with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist and crunches them up.  the fun curved border is a newer Spellbinders border die set.

Flowers! Flowers! Flowers!

I have been busy since August teaching flower classes. Here are just some of the flower designs the gals got to create and learn while attending class. I am currently working on a Flowers #4 class since they are still not tired of flowers yet. I did have to give my wrists a break though from all the Cuttlebugging.
These 2 versions of carnations are made from 2 different Cheery Lynn dies. One is fuller then the other. The tips of the white one are inked pink but it doesn't show up in this photo.
Both of these are from the same Cheery Lynn die but you get 2 different looks. The gals got to see how versital all the dies were and how to use in multiple ways to really get your monies worth.
This was a favorite and made fromt he Shasta Daisy strip. Tips were inked with tea dye ink but once again the photo doesn't show it well. Everything is better in person right? Another great reason to take a class.
