Brotherly Love

Happy Friday. Last week Dawn, Annette and I stayed at the retreat behind our store to try to get caught up a bit. Annette and I both have graduates and are both lacking on pages. I was able to get 14 pages done after I finished my Fab 5 projects. Here is one of them. I used the Coredinations Black Magic and embossed every other with a different folder and then sanded so the colors came through. You could do the same layout using different squares of your scrap papers.

Supplies: Coredination Black Magic, Cuttlebug embossing folder and heart die, Picture This custom diecut, sanding block.

Fab 5 Day 5

Happy Friday.  This week flew right by. We hope you enjoyed all the  25+ ideas with the 5 My Minds Eye products that we 5 Designers worked with this week and left a comment on any of the Fab 5 posts for your chance to win a My Minds Eye package valued over $25.   This time we had a new designer from the store, Kayla, so welcome Kayla and great job. Most of the projects we made will be posted in-store for a couple weeks now so you can see them in person too.

Our store will be featured on the My Minds Eye blog today!!!!!  We are very excited about that so be sure to hop over to their website/blog to check that out. (thanks Cam and Amber)

My last project was using the softer side of the paper. I think most of the designers used the brighter side of the paper. I distressed all the edges to go along with the 'frazzled' feel of the sentiment. lol.

Supplies: My Minds Eye paper, CS, paper distresser, Stampendous stamps, May Arts jute, Copic markers, Momento ink.

Fab 5 Day 4

I decided to use the back side of the paper on this project. Another reason to love My Minds Eye.....their backsides are as pretty as the front.  I used my Copic markers to color the stamped image to match the papers.

Supplies: My Minds Eye paper, CS, Judith stamp, Copic markers, pop dots, EK Success corner punch and a bee brad.

Fab 5 Day 3

Bonus idea today. I had the dragon done but then had decided the paper was perfect for my sons photos by a birch tree as well.So you get an extra idea today. The back of the paper is the soft coral so I used that back on the dragon card as well as the front. I ran some green thru the Cuttlebug with the embossing folder that reminds me of scales. On the page I  tore and distressed edges.

Supplies: My Minds Eye papers and title diecut, CS, Sandylion flowers, Cuttlebug folders and leaf dies, Nestabilites, Distress ink and Copic Markers.

Dreamy 2

Here is a card featuring My Minds Eye papers from the Dreamy 2 collection. The dots are the backside of the floral. This is why I love MME papers....everything coordinates and makes creating so much quicker for us who are short on time. Then I just chose matching Copic markers to color the stamped image. And stamped the envelope to match the card.

Supplies: My Minds Eye paper, Copic Markers, Impression Obsession stamp, May Arts ribbon, CS.
