Stamp/Scrap Expo 2011

(They shopped til they dropped!! Our fun friends had to sit for a breather)

We survived another Expo. Thanks to everyone who joined us for a day of fun. We loved the new location
and all the extra space. Paula and Dawn kept busy all day with the make-n-takes. We cut over 300 for expo and now have to get another 300 cut for this coming weekends Bus Tours. Thats a lot of cutting and cardstock!!

We showcased the Quilling flowers at the show and everyone who did that make-n-take got hands-on as to how easy they actually are and fell in love with them as we have. So if spring isn't here yet.....we don't care....we all are making beautiful flowers by the bunches =)

Thanks agian to everyone who came....the event raises money for womens scholarships and its fun. Hope you all gained ideas from the various booths.

Get a Kick out of You

Our new Die-Namics arrived so I HAD to use one of them right away on the Fab 5.  I see Dawn also
used one of the new stamp sets from My Favorite Things on her posting yesterday =)  I should have taken a close up photo as well of the tree....it embossed the tree grain in trunk as well. Super cool.

I started out with a different design in mind but it wasn't coming together so I ended up with something entirely different. But after I finished the 1st card then I started to play agian with parts from the former and
ended up with another. So you have a bonus idea today!! (below)  I pop dotted the balls on both of the card designs.
The bonus card has distressed edges using the Tim Holtz paper distresser.

Supplies:  Changito stamps, Copic markers, My Minds eye paper, CS, Grass border punch, Die-Namics tree die, Amuse ribbon, pop dots.

Square Delight

Last card from Tues. class.  This one I got the sketch off from Splitcoast. We forget to dig out our older punches with all the awesome dies available so I had made it a mission to use punches in this past class. The squares were with EK Success punches.  The gals in class loved the color combos. I have always loved purples and greens together. In fact, that was the colors I painted my store in Eleva.
The finer details were inking edges, adding Spica to the flower and butterfly for some extra shine and curling the edges up for my visual interest.

Supplies: Copic makers, Spica pen, Mememto ink, Northwoods stamp, Hero Art stamps, Nesties, My Minds Eye papers, CS, MS butterfly border punch on inside to coordinate with front of card.

Thanks

Happy St. Pats Day. Be sure to pop on out today between 11-1 for our free make-n-take.
This card was using a bunch of different tools. If you invested in them...you might as well use them. I dug out
an old flower punch and layered 2 of them and the top one lifted the petals for a 3D effect. Added a gem to center. There was 3 different Spellbinders dies used. Never knew what to do with the teeny one in some of the sets? I stamped a small sentiment, inked edges and it set it apart from the rest of the square.

Supplies:Spellbinder dies, EK punch, Rubber Stamp Tapestry clear set for leaves, Ricrac, Tim Holtz distress inks, Great Impressions cloud template, CS, Hero Arts rounded gem.

Good Luck tonight E-S Cardinal girls!!!!!!!

Nestabilities Label

Goodmorning. It was foggy on the drive in this morning. But it is suppose to be in the 40's here today in Eau Claire!! Yes. We are soooo  ready for warmer temps. And it just gives us spring fever.  The next 3 postings will be my Senior Scissors class I taught yesterday and they all definatley have spring flavor.

This one I used the labels die. It is too large to add to a front of card so I made it the front of the card! And then stamped to decorate with peg stamps in various colors. Then added Stickles for the finishing touch along with a bow.

Supplies: Spellbinders dies, Crystal Stickles, Rubber Stamp Tapestry floral set, May Arts ribbon and Versacolor inks.

Elegance

Here's a couple more one pagers. I had fun today finishing up my pile of last sheets. So they now go in the pages-for-sale basket. I then had fun today creating my next 3 cards for next months Senior Scissors class. They turned out so cute. A definite spring theme so I am obviously in the mood for spring!!!  Have a great weekend blog followers and say an extra prayer for all the people and animals effected by the earthquake and tsunami.

How Sweet it is...

Another one pager. I used scrap piece of papers from other projects and the flower is left over from yesterdays posting so I used the entire package and have no leftovers from that =)  Isn't it a great feeling when you can clear things out?  Makes room for the new fun stuff!!  And there is plenty of that arriving daily.

Supplies: Daisy D's and Scienic Route paper, Bo Bunny flower, MS punches, My Minds Eye title, CS.

Patsy's Paradise

Been working on some one-pagers agian that hit the floor for sale. I love creating them since I can use and do whatever I want and not have to worry about if we have the product available or not.  I used Tim's birdcage die on this. I have hardly gotten to use it much.  It started out country but ended up more victorian.

Supplies: Basic Grey and Quick Quotes paper, Tim Holtz die, Bo Bunny flowers, May Arts ribbon, CS.

Boy and his Dog

And the 3rd card promised. This is a StampAvie clear stamp and they released a bunch of new ones that I personally have been waiting and waiting for the shipment to arrive.  We just added 2 new stamp companies Paula and Kayla wanted and theirs already arrived. And I have had the StampAvie ordered since way before those were even placed. (thats what happens when we have to deal with foreign countries)
Anyhoo.....all the coloring on this card is done with Copics as well. Then I showed the gals how to put some blenderless solution on a piece of material and pounce on the jeans and sweater to give it a textured look. Pretty cool and you can not do that with other markers.

Supplies: Basic Grey paper, CS, StampAvie, Copics, brads, EK Success paw punch. Copic colorless blender solution.

Red Barn

This is the 2nd card I promised from class the other day. I love how this one turned out. This is from a set of cling stamps by Just Rites and there is a matching saying on the inside.  Copic markers make it sooo easy to get the different shadings to add a true look to your cards. Love them!

Friendship blooming

The top card was one from my Copic class this past week and I will share the other 2 this weekend.  I had made some extra cards at the time out of scrap papers I had to finish up a little stash of extras. You always need cards so don't make just one when you do it.

the bottom photo is the NEW NEW NEW Copic sketch colors that just arrived today!!!!  Just like a kid in a candy store.....loving the pretty new colors.

Butterfly Frame

Goodmorning! Two months gone already...where oh where does the time go?  This was a card I had taught a few months back in a class. Often I forget to get my class cards posted on the blog after the classes are held.
With the frame it is an A2 size card. I always lay out an envelope when I am designing an out-of-the-ordinary card so I stay within the envelope size I am working toward.  The frame was cut from a Nestabilitie and then stamped using Rubber Stamp Tapestry stamps. I embossed the front of the card then just added the bling. the inside I carried the butterfly theme thru with a butterfly border punch and added a sentiment. A little stickles on the stamped flowers and gems in the silk flowers and poof! A lovely card.

Supplies: Rubber Stamp Tapestry stamps, MS butterfly punch and border punch, Nesties, Cuttlebug embossing folder, May Arts ribbon, Prima flowers, Stickles, Versa Color inks, CS.
