Feb.Fab 5 Day 5

This one was fun. I did the frame shadow effect by layering and pop dotting. One the inside sentiment I used the Tim Holtz mini stapler I just bought and am having fun using on everything for the moment. lol
We had fun sharing House Mouse ideas with you all week and hope you were inspired. We are part of the House Mouse program so we get the brand new ones each month before you see them in area stores. We have a House Mouse Club too you can inquire about.

Supplies: House Mouse stamp, Judith Stamp, Nestibilities, Cuttlebug emboss folder, Copics, Tim Holtz mini stapler, CS.

Feb. Fab 5 ~ Day 4

Happy Thursday!! Todays I featured a punch that we are also featuring in our make-n-take today. I cut out around the image so that once it was pop dotted onto the paper cut with Nesties......you'd still notice the Nestie design. I sanded the edges to bring out the embossing on the Nestie as well.  Then carried the pattern into the inside of the card as well.

Feb.Fab 5 Day 3

Welcome to day three. We hope we are helping get your creative juices flowing.  I colored the image first and then walked the store to find my paper....this one jumped out at me. The edges look like they were roasted marshmellows. Perfect. I colored with Copics and used the blender pen to put a few light spots and added whiskers. Our little store mascots have whiskers so I would assume a mouse should too. All mine will from now on.

Feb. Fab 5 Day One

Welcome to day one of February's Fab 5. This month we are featuring the adorable House Mouse stamps. You will have 25 ideas by the end of the week.  And be sure to leave a comment on any of our posts this week for chance to win some goodies.

For this card I used monochromatic colors. I used a cloud template to add clouds and Spica pen to add some shimmer to the flowers but you can't see it even in the close up. You can, however, see how beautiful the Copic markers blend all your colors together.

Supplies: House Mouse stamps, Copics, Spica, Momento ink, white luster CS, Scienic Route paper, May Arts ribbon and a swirl accent.

The First Steps

Here is another card that didn't get done in time for the Judith Fab 5. We all have unfinished projects and it is always a good feeling when we do finally finish them. I used one of her new teddy bear stamps and tried a Copic background idea I had seen. Just dot the tip of your Copic over and over starting with a darker shade and working out to a lighter shade.  I don't know that I'd use this technique very often but I always have to try new ideas.

This Way

Happy Saturday!! I have not had much time to create at all these past couple weeks. We are busy little beavers at the store lining up fun things for all of you for the spring. The pre-tickets are now at the store for the annual Scrapin and Stamping Expo so be sure to pop in get yours.
I had colored the image of this for the Judith Fab 5 but never had gotten it assembled into a card. So this morning I finished it.

Supplies: Judith stamps, Copic markers, Momento and Distress inks, My Minds Eye paper, CS, border punch.

Butterfly Bonanza

I am really liking the wide border punches that everyone is coming out with right now. I thought by looking at the packaging that it'd have to be punched on both sides like we do now with the smaller ones....No! It does it all in one. Sweet.  And if you are limited on your time for scrapping all your photos....look how easy this page is. The long wide punch was the most timewise and it only took less then minute to punch the 12 inch strip. Slap on some of your leftover flowers from another project, couple butterflies and poof! A page.

Supplies: MS border punch and butterfly punches, Melissa Frances paper, CS, May Arts suede leaves, Hero Art flowers and gems. Stickles on the butterflies.

Pretty Paisley

I have been busy turning the one sheets of paper that are left and noone buys into pages for sale again. This one turned out so pretty...I might keep one for a photo of me with my grandma.

Supplies: Melissa Frances paper, Spellbinders dies, MS butterfly punches, CS and leftover flower from another project. Fiskars border punch.

New Judith!!!

I was just estatic when our UPS man came yesterday with the brand new "Judith" stamps. It was so fun unpacking  the box to see all the new images. And then calling everyone who preordered and hearing the excitement in their voices too that the stamps were already here!!  The mini Dorky Bird stubby is too darn cute. So watch for new samples from the new stamps and be sure to come visit us to check them out.
