Winter Visitors

With it snowing today....again............this seemed like an appropriate page to make. We have this beautiful paper available at Picture This and we cut extra titles for sale so all the hard work is done for you. I added 3 snowflakes using Cheery Lynn dies.

I will be away from the blog for a week or so now. We lost my father-in-law a month ago and now lost my mother-n-law. I wasn't able to make the trip to New Mexico for his memorial because of the store and retreat. This time I am going and the PT staff with just have to fill my shoes.

Gold dragonfly

Second page for sale.  Lisa gave me a few of her left over ECD stickers she did up with the glitter and they just worked perfect with this paper.
I used a gold ink pad to add gold to the dragonfly diecut to tie in with the gold stickers.
This is a close up of the ECD stickers. Lisa and LeAnn C do a lot of classes at the store on this cool techniques. So if you ever want to learn something new......sign up for a class. And the ultrafine glitter doesn't shed so it can be used on your pages as well.  Cool. Cool.

2013

I worked on a couple pages for sale this past Saturday while I was at the store for another of our fun All Day Crops. I only got 2 done but better than none.
I bought the 2013 die to use for my sons graduation pages this past year and this is actually the first I even opened it.

Endless Winter

We had a huge dumping of snow last Thursday. It was pretty but that is about it. Lol.
                                                         Our picnic table near buried.
My wishing well buried. It is even wishing for spring!!

Daisy

Our second cat we had for adoption at the store was Daisy. Miss Diva Daisy. And she was the quickest adoption the shelter had. One of our wonderful customers came in and treated herself to a birthday present. She was already approved at ECCHA so she didn't have to do the 24 hour wait.
Daisy has very pretty markings and we hear on a regular basis that she IS a diva.  Lol.

spring...................hurry up already

We've had such a long winter this year that I just felt like doing a spring page. I did monochromatic so it isn't showing up well on the photo. My grandma always grew Cleome and so this flower brings back lots of memories.

And this was the temp on my way to work. (2-11-14)  I think we are all weary of winter this year. And sadly, we've had these temps several times this winter.

Sunflower Montage

The last card from my first Montage class. This image is off from one of McRices's new ones. And each paper has assorted sentiments on it too to cut out and use on your cards. Ours has one that says Hello from Eau Claire, WI.
The Cheery Lynn sunflower die was the perfect addition to this bright sunny card. Just trying to beat the winter blahs here.

Yellow Butterfly

This image is off from McRices' montage. They released 2 new ones along with our exclusive one.
This would make a pretty Easter or Mother's Day card too. The possibilities are endless with the montages. Be sure to pop in and check them out.

I added the Cheery Lynn butterfly and the chevron background is a newer one from My Favorite Things. And I finished it all with 3 drops of yellow liquid pearls.

Squirrel !!

Here is another image from our exclusive paper. this one is a distressed building just up the road from Picture This. The day I was driving all over getting local photos I decided it was pretty enough as I drove by so I turned back and walked up near it for the photo.
The cute critters are one of the new Cheery Lynn dies that comes with several and a tree. I inked the belly of the bird to give it depth. And the squirrel is also inked. Another super easy card gals.  How awesome would it be to send your friends a card with local images?!?!!

Montage #1

Here kitty kitty.
I finally got  to teach a class using the Montage paper that is exclusive to Picture This. I am still so excited over having our very own paper from photos we took from the area. This is one of the 2 tigers at Irvine Park in Chippewa Falls. The montages are sooo easy to work with and so easy to whip cards up in seconds.

PanPastel Carnation

I taught a mini workshop using PanPastels so gals could see how easy this creamy chalk is to work with.  This card was just tipping the flowers and edging the leaves with it since it was a mini workshop. I'll be working on a full class in the future so be sure to watch the class board.

Winter Kitty with Cardinals.

This card is inspired from Kitty C.  I love following her blog. That women must take an entire day to make each card though. THIS was a lot of pieces to cut. I have a Siamese so I used Distressed ink to shade the ears and tail to make it more Siamese.

I used Tim Holtz glitter for the snow effect. And we were in a deep winter chill when this class was held so we didn't appreciate the snow much the night of class. Lol. We have had colder then norm temps here for over a month. Kids will even be making up school days in the spring due to school canceled from dangerous temps. Crazy.  But I have trekked to the store everyday this winter. Kinda like the postal person. We have cat(s) in residence and they don't feed themselves.

The dies on this card are mostly Memory Box and Impression Obsession. We just got in new dies from MB and Cheery Lynn and are expecting new IO any day now. Fun. Fun. Fun. We love dies.
And we ship out all the time so if you ever see something on our FB then just give us a call and we will ship.

Pretty Heart & Doily

This card really spread the love with the die companies. The circles and heart are Spellbinders. The leaves are Memory Box. The doily is Cheery Lynn.
The strip you always have left over when you cut your 6 cards fronts from a 12x12........I used that strip on the inside along with the piece of doily that was cut off from the front of the card .No waste!!

Hanging Heart

I did a class a week or 2 ago with a romantic feel to it. I loved the paper choices and used lots and lots and lots of dies!! The rose on the front is a Cheery Lynn and the flourish in the inside is actually part of the rose die. I just cut the rose off separately.

Pink Butterflies

A simple card but oh so pretty. The Martha Stewart butterfly punch was used as well as the fence border punch.

Hero Art Flower

The class was centered around this stamp. Worn lipstick ink was used to match the cardstocks I choose. The embossing folder is a limited edition and we have about 5 left in stock. When they are gone...they're gone. I sanded the Coredinations to bring out the raised emboss pattern more. Poof! A card.

Pretty Petals

Pretty pink phlox.....a pretty card from a class I taught last week. If you look closely you can see the flower gently nests on a turquios felt.  I used PanPastels on the tips.

My Daughter

I took a mental break the other day and made a quick page-for-sale with a paper that only had one left on the floor. I used a Quick Quotes vellum quote. We carry them in every theme and they add a lot to a very special page. FYI...some are tear jerkers.
I used a Cheery Lynn flower die set and added flowers. I sanded the tips to bring out a little white and also the mattings on the 4x6 photo frames.

Apple Tree

Here's another Judith tree and I used Glossy Accents on the apples to make them shiny. Copic markers were used on this card as well.

Dragonfly Tree

Here at Picture This we have a 'buffet bar" where you can buy brads single. I picked a variety of colors to make this card pop. Then colored with Copic markers.
