Baby of Mine

We needed new samples for our baby section in the store. They sure didn't have all the cute embellishments years ago that they have today. I used an entire package of Soft Spoken stickers...was on a mission to not have any left over that just lay around!!  So some are on this page and then at bottom of post is another page using the rest of them. Whalla....no leftovers!
This sticker is even more pretty once added to a doily diecut.

And the bonus idea with the rest of the stickers.

Kensington Butterflies

Are you loving the dies still? I know we are. Here are a couple of the newest Memory Box ones and the sketch was taken off of one of their designers card ideas. I custom colored the pearl to match the card using Copic markers.
I cut 2 of the butterflies off from the stem for the inside.

Thinking of You

A quick card when you need one.
The color was added with Copics and then the blender was used to soften the color before adding the glitter.

Get Well Soon!

Happy Tuesday everyone! Hope you are having a crafty week. Not crappy....crafty!! =)   Here is yet another card using the Black Eyed Susan die from Cheery Lynn. I've yet to use it as an actual BES. Maybe once I get started on fall colors. Ohhh it'll be sooo pretty in fall colors. That is always my favorite for the color palette on cards and pages. But I seldom get to do many since we always have to hop into Christmas cards so early at the store.  If I could find a buyer for the store....then I could just create and teach classes! That'd be awesome.
Here is a close up of the center. It is what makes it such a winner with me. I'll start using it for centers of other flowers in the near future. I am taking a break in September from teaches classes....so far that's the plan. So then I can just play and make samples for the store instead. Connie and Lisa have really stepped up and have several classes coming up so that helps take some pressure off me.  Very few, if any, store owners work the front counter 50+ hours a week, teach classes, do all the ordering, do a blog or post often, do most of the social media, do endless hours behind the scenes too, etc, So yes, a break would be welcomed. Plus I just came off from the super busy summer for the retreat. It'll be nice for that to get back to normal and not having to be flipped 2-3 times a week. Not complaining....just stating the facts.

Pink Tea Roses

Thanks for tuning back in for the other version of same design/ different color. So see...you CAN substitute any paper and still get a pretty card with a different color scheme.
I don't have a favorite here....I like them both.  The tiny butterflies add the perfect finishing touch.

Teal Tea Roses

This was paper that was in the store since 2008. No one paid no attention to it until I made a card. Crazy. I have been having fun playing with the new tea rose dies by Cheery Lynn. Once you make your first couple flowers....then you have the hang of it and its super easy and oh soooo pretty. It's a toss up right now between these or the Black Eyed Susan die for my fav at the moment.
Inside I used the backside of the paper and added a fence and butterfly. This card could work for many different occasions.
Here is a close up of the pretty tea roses. All from just cardstock. So just think of how much mooolah you can save over time making your own flowers?!  Tune in tomorrow for the same design/ different colors. Customers have been saying they love seeing the variations so I have been trying to share more of them.  So please comment if you enjoy the inspiration.

Hummingbird Dance

Goodmorning!! We have had a beautiful week here in Wisconsin. No humidity, not too hot.
Here's a card from last weeks class. The fancy square is a Spellbinders die. The pretty hummers and babys breath are Cheery Lynn. I got the card sketch on line and then just altered to supplies to carry at PT.

I used a white gel pen to add a white dot to the centers of the baby's breath. And 5 little pearls to finish off the card. Poof! A card.

Bold Happy Birthday

And here is the bold colors. Color really does have a huge impact on your projects and everything. I was an interior designer for 12 years and I love working with colors. I did many wedding florals as well and now I am making them from cardstock and dies. Who would have ever thought 15 years ago we could make such beautiful flowers from paper?!?
Which  color palette is your favorite?

Pastel Happy Birthday

I taught some flower classes this past week and this is one of the pretty cards they got to make along with learning how to make the gardenia flower. Tune in tomorrow so the same design....bolder colors.

Children

Just a quick page sample for the store. We have lots and lots of vellum quotes and they really make for a nice addition to your layouts.

Warmth of Christmas

We have to start being busy little elfs here at PT getting things made for our Christmas Extravaganza coming up October 11th.   The cards are kept top secret  until the day of but I'll share this page for it ahead of time.
The pretty poinsettia is a Cheery Lynn die as well as the snowflakes. They added the perfect touch.
I just layed the twine where I wanted it and added a little glue to hold it all in place.

Same paper.....day 4

Last layout using the same paper. I hope you enjoyed all the different ideas and it inspires you for some of your layouts. All you need is the sketch and you can substitute any papers you have. Get creating!!!!  I used the rosettes again and took a close up photo and highlighted it in the bottom left corner. I think this is my fav out of the 4 layouts. Which one is your favorite?

(Basic Grey is the main paper used and we have plenty for your creative needs)

Same paper....day 3

Coredinations cardstock is used on this layout. And the Tim Holtz rosette. The cute litter hummer is a Cheery Lynn as well as the swirls.  Once again, if you don't think you need dies because you are just a scrapbooker....I disagree. I love using them on my layouts. It is a lot cheaper in the long run then buying stickers and embellishments all the time. (of course as a store owner I shouldn't say that since I want you to buy embellies =)  But I always show people in my classes how to save)

Same paper...day 2

I had a silly photo of one of my boys from several years back where he is dressed in a wig and weird silk shirt for dressup at for school. The shirt matched the paper.

Same paper....4 designs....day one

Goodmorning!!  We got in a double batch of this paper so I am on a mission to move it. I whipped up 4 pages all different and will share them over the next 4 days. Then I will have to work the paper into a card class to further along my desire to sell it all.
This layout had a lot of Cheery Lynn dies. I think I use them more then any other company right now. But we sure have gotten in some super sweet new dies this past week. Be sure to stop in to check them all out!!

Live Laugh Love

Once again a poor, lonely single sheet of paper left on the sales floor. I don't know what it is that people do not take the last one? Please do!  So I cut it in thirds and the backside was the diagonal strips so that was placed on the bottom and separated with a strip of cardstock.  I used a rub on for the circle since it matched the paper.
The flowers were made using Cheery Lynn dies. I still am loving the Black Eyed Susan die. I have used it for every color so far but an actual Black Eyed Susan. ha   The center is so fun to fluff out. Connie has a class coming up using them as the flower itself. It is pretty.

3D Cirlces

Saw a page sketch somewhere and loved this idea. And I knew this would be the perfect paper to do it with as well. We have plenty in stock so stop on by and get yourself some and go for it!! The base is the other side of the multicolored.
I used all 3 sizes of Tim Holtz rosette dies and they turned out so fun with this pattern on the printed paper. And then just cut circles and pop dot over the top of the same spot and poof! Super easy and cool page. Now if only I could say 'poof'  and be back on the beach.

Senior

Still doing my boys senior photos when I get a chance.
I added his name to the locker for a personalized touch.
You can make your flat diecut stars into 3D by scoring and folding. Poof!

Iris

I have so many photos of my flowers and of my grandma's flower beds so every now and then I make a page and eventually I will have them all preserved in a scrapbook to enjoy for many years.

Bonus Idea

Here is a card with the pieces left over from yesterdays project.  If you get in the habit of making a card right away from your page scraps....you'll never be short on cards. Everything is already color coordinated so give it a whirl.
The circles are once again popdotted over the same spot their design is. And I used a Cottage Cutz die that says thanks. It was the perfect size and the card needed just a teeny something more. This was perfect. Hope it inspires you to create today =)

Danty doily

Another page for sale in the works.....  I used a Cheery Lynn doily die and a Spellbinders Rose Creation die set to make this page. We carry metallic and text weight cardstocks so I used those to make the flowers since the page already had glimmer on it to tie it all together. And the bling in the center of the flower was colored with...........yup....Copic markers.
Happy Creating!!
