I purred once...

Taylored Expression has adorable stamps and dies. When this one arrived I just had to have it. Of course. We used it on a make-n-take but this is the first I have gotten to play with it myself. It's hilarious.  Copics used: E31, E34, E50

Stencil fun

I have been wanting to play with the Tim Holtz sprayer and my Copics but there just never is enough hours in my days for all the fun things I want to create. This was created using a Memory Box stencil, a B28 Copic marker and the Tim Holtz sprayer. Easy peasy.  I even custom colored the candi dot with the B28 so it matched the rest.

Graduation

How many of you have a grad this year? Still trying to finish pages for their album? Don't forget we can help at Picture This by making custom diecuts for you. The vellum quote is a nice touch to your pages. We have so many in every theme through out the store. Most I can not read without tearing up.

Triangle die

We received the new dies from Cheery Lynn and there was a triangle die I ordered. Well while inventorying papers in the store I came across this one and it screamed at me to use the new die with it. So poof!! A page.
The daisy stripe die from CL was used to create the flowers and I just added a black pearl to tie in with the colors in the paper. I am telling you gals....your pages can be easy!! Let all the beautiful papers available do the work for you. We have over 6000 to choose from at Picture This.

Soft and Feminine

I had lots of peach daisies left from a previous project so I found some papers to match and made a page. I think I finally used up all those flower pieces too!! The doily was one we cut for a make-n-take but ended up too large for our card so I added it to the page.
Here is a photo of the BACK of my assembled page so you can see how I cut the 'insides' out to use for the matting and various diecuts.
The pretty flowers you can make from dies. My flower dies get a lot of use and one of my favorite things to add to pages.....besides butterflies.
The fun bird accent is a Taylored Expressions die. I needed a little something extra and Connie had her die along the day I made this page and let me cut one out. Perfect!!

Another butterfly

I've been sketching our layout sketches from various blogs and such and so tried using one of my sketches for a page sample for the store.
All the banners and large butterfly are CL. The foliage is MB.

Friends

All flowers are Cheery Lynn. I still love the Black Eyed Susan for the center part. (pink one)
The mesh curling ribbon add a whimsy touch to the page as well.

love you

I got tired of all the border punches I have for pages so I bought this new EK Success punch and now you'll see it plenty since we tend to use our 'new' toys a lot when we first get them. ha
All the flowers here are made using Cheery Lynn dies. I didn't take a photo this time but they were also created by cutting out the parts of the page that get hidden anyway so I didn't have to cut into a new piece of cardstock for just the flowers.
A simple little title to complete the page.

Love to Dance

A sample for the store and using up a huge stack of these flowers that were made from before. I think I finally managed to use all of them up between all the pages and cards I did over the weekend. Whew!

The flourish is a new Cottage Cutz die and we will be using it also in an upcoming make-n-take.

Winged Things

The last of the quick Mother's Day cards for sale. So I hope you see over the past weeks postings how easy it can be to whip up a card and how easy it can also be to use some of those leftover pieces you have in your stash. So grab your glue and scissors and your stash and start creating. You always need cards so go for it. It is fun! And feels good to use up your odds-n-ends.

Daisys

Last Saturday when I was creating at the store all day and trying to use up scraps.....I decided to make and put out a couple Mother's Day cards for sale. Well they sold right away so I switched from making pages to making more MD cards for sale. And everything was from left overs parts/pieces from previous projects. I challenge you to work on your 'stash'.

Thanks

I had just a single flower and vine left after the 2 pages so I dug through my scraps drawer and decided this paper had enough teal in it to pull off a card.  The continuous circle die is Memory Box. The flower is Cheery Lynn Designs.

Beautiful Ballerina

Another page using the last of the striped paper that's been in my drawer forever. And some leftover ballerina stickers by Karen Foster Design.

Burgundy Posies

I feel like a was starved from creating all winter. So last weekend and the prior weekend I spent at the store creating. And I still don't have it out of my system. I still want to just be locked in my craft room for a week and create! I made a huge dent on left over pieces of this and that over the weekend and it is a good feeling when you can dwindle that pile down. So I got several pages for sale and cards for sale created over the weekend.
Coredinations Cardstoco was used and whenever you use that.....you can sand it to bring out the inner core color. So it added a nice touch to the posies as you can see in the closeup.  I also use a sylus tool to add curve to my flowers and greeneries.

Happy die title

Another fun card from class. We got in the cute happy dies from Die-version and we are using them in an upcoming make-n-take and so I threw it into a class too so you all get more ideas from the same die. The birthday word is from an IO die set of asst words.

Congrats

I saved my favorite from class for last. I love the elegant look of this one. The oval is one of the brand new ones just released from Spellbinders. And I've used the lattice die numerous times in the past. The flowers are MS punches and I tipped them with a white ink. The congrats is actually ECD Congratulations. The entire word was too long for my design so I cut off the extra letters and flipped it to just congrats.  Hope this inspires you!!

3D Butterfly

Finally got to teach another class! I didn't the entire time we were under construction and then setting the new retreat up and then decorating it. So was good to be back in the saddle again.
The gals who attended got to learn how to do a 3D butterfly from stickers.
                                                                  The innie
Some of supplies used: Cheery Lynn dies, MS border punch, ECD dies. Spellbinders matting dies.

Pretty Posies

This page has been setting on my work bench for months. I diecut and assembled the flowers months ago and just got around to completing the page now. If you are like all the rest of us....you have several projects going all the time at any given time. It always feels great when one gets completed but there is always more underway.
The flowers are made using the Daisy Stripe by Cheery Lynn. And the twiggy things are also CL.

Mother's Day assortment

A few cards  that I made up to have our for you last minute people for Mother's Day. We had several men in buying gift certificates and they would get the card to go with the certificate. A huge thank you to everyone who encourages the support of small businesses. We most certainly can not survive without our customers support.

Rose swirl

Here is that pretty Cheery Lynn large doily again. Isn't it just a very nice addition to a page? You can pick any background paper for your theme....add the doily and some swirls and then your photos and it is enough for the page. Super easy but ever so pretty.
I inked the tips of the flower. Surprisingly this is not one of my handmade ones. I had a single rose left in my odds-n-ends drawer so I slapped it on this sample since it blending right in.  If you look closely at the photo mats....the white border I added has slashes diecut right in. Everyone is coming our with stitched and dies right now and I added this to the stores supply for our projects.

Alligator

I saw this sketch on another blog and loved the citrus colors so tried creating my own version. My hubby and I went to Tybee Beach a couple years ago and hooked up with Paula and Brian and had supper at the Crab Shack. If you are ever out that way....be sure to go to the Crab Shack. I had a photo of Paula on the gator too but of course I couldn't find it when I was working on this page.

grad 2013

This started out as a 4th of July sample but I had no photos to match. All I could find is one of my youngest from grad. I usually start with the photos and then work my way out. I find it much easier. But when trying to make samples for store  and add photos....its backwards.
So if you have a grad this year.....here is a page sketch to follow. Everything is in stock to make this layout. We do custom die cuts at the store so you can even have your grads name made to customize the page.
If you are doing photo boards.....we do diecutting for them as well.

Sweet baby

A simple page sample for our baby section. I used a scalloped border punch and then embossed one of the photo mats with a cloud embossing folder by Darice. Its always fun to add the little touches. Candi Dots were also added.
