Thinking of You

And finally the last card from class the other day. The teal Candi was white and I had the students color it with a Copic marker. I love customizing things!! Brads, gems, pearls, ribbon and now Candi. I will post an idea tomorrow using another stamp for an additional idea.

Don't forget our Fab 5 contest where you can post on our FB wall that ends this week.

And mark your calendars for this Friday and Saturday!! We have our Backroom Blowout Sale and everything will be 50%, 65% and 75% OFF!!!!  Lots of goodies. Hope to see you there.

Distressed fern

This is a 2nd card from class.  I had them distress the white pieces and then stamp the fern and saying on.
And I always try to have an envelope near when creating so that can be stamped to match the card. If you get in the habit of it....you will just do it automatically.

Same Card ~ Different Stamp

This is showing you how you can switch out the stamp easily with the same 'sketch' and still get beautiful results.

Dragonfly

The top card was from class last night. the bottom was the 1st attempt and although it is pretty....I didn't like it with the distressed look. I like the more elegant look on the top card so therefore it was chosen to be one that I taught in class.

Supplies: Cuttlebug sqaure dies, Hero Arts sentiment set and fern, Peeled Paint ink, CS, paper distresser.
The fern stamp sold out last night so that will no longer be available. But I will be posting a switch in upcoming post.

Fab 5 featuring new Medleys

Goodmorning!!! Are you ready to be inspired today? I hope so since all the Fab 5 girls have been busy behind the scenes creating ideas for this Fab 5. I choose the gazebo from the sheet for my card. And since I have been on a die  craze....I had to throw in some dies as well. The white leafy swirl is a Cheery Lynn die and the red, white and blue flowers are Spellbinders. (they have a blog frenzy going on this week with all their new releases...so after you blog hop to all of our Fab 5....you may want to check out their blog too)

Now be sure to check out all the other Fab 5 girls blogs. Leave comments if you enjoy the inspiration and remember...you can play along too. You have this week to post a new medley idea to the Picture This Facebook page or bring your card/page in and we can photograph it and post it for you. Someone will be lucky enough to have theirs to to CHA with us and be displayed in the McRice booth.

Another Medley idea

Here is a bonus idea with the same sheet of Medley papers. I used one of my Cheery Lynn butterfly dies and added some gems and then a Spellbinder tag with a saying stamped upon it my Magenta.  Hope you get inpsired by all the Fab 5 Medley ideas. Don't forget to hop on over to the other Fab 5's blogs for more ideas. And you can play along as well.

Small Lace Butterfly

Here is another card from Mondays class. Still loving all the new dies. The details are awesome and
I appreciate that they are made in the USA. I am always trying to find local vendors to carry in the store
and really like when they are made in the states.  Be sure to use 'shims' or a CuttleHug when using Cheery Lynn dies, MFT dies or Memory Box dies. You get a more crisp cut and makes for easier removal from the die.

Supplies: Cheery Lynn dies (Lace Butterfly, Sweet William, Mini Fanciful Flourish) Swiss dots embossing folder and American Crafts latest paper release.

We have started a PT Shoppe for all of our followers and customers who can only get to the store once in awhile. But anytime I list something on my blog.....you can call the store to order and have shipped to you. We ship out all the time. And we only charge the minimal postage.

Judy's Blooms

Here are cards from my class I taught this past Monday. They made the one on right and I made the one on left with left overs after class to put in our cards for sale. The edges of the flowers were inked with purple on the right card. The one on left I added a Candi to and then glittered the dot.

Supplies: Judy's Blooms die, Flourish Leaf Strip, Miniture Rose die, Corner Flourish embosssing folder, Bakers twine.

Bright-n-Cheery

Yesterdays make-n-take was featuring a Cheery Lynn butterfly die. I got the idea off from Pinterest and then flipped it to product we had in the store. It was a hit yesterday...especially since is was stormy and gloomy.  The white was embossed with the Rebecca Cuttlebug embossing folder and the ribbons are May Arts.  Super simple but so elegant and fun. Plenty of folders left in stock...one butterfly as of this moment but I have more ordered and will arrive I am guessing Monday.  And the gems were colored per card by Copic markers.

Cosmo gets a visitor

Cosmo had one of his favorite visitors yesterday.  He got to fill his cheeks with sunflowers.
He is one spoiled hamster.  =)

Bad Boy

I have been wanting to do this set of pictures ever since I got them developed and I finally got enough time to get them done. This is Shadow who I always say has such a gentle soul. He is a big sweetie. I came out of the bathroom one day and he was up in my corner flower thing so I grabbed the camera and snapped a photo. Then said "Bad Boy" and he literally hung his head. I am sooo happy I captured it on film because it was such a hangdog look I had to laugh.

I embossed some cardstock with the brick embossing folder to match the bricks in the photo and then lightly ran a paint dauber over it to give it the dimention it needed. I also inked the edges of the layout in a matching in color. And finally used my alpha die set by My Favorite Things.

Simba

This is what my silly outdoor kitty does in the winter.....sits in the center of the pool. We had a mild winter this past year so on 4/4/12 there was no snow. During the summer he will climb up the ladder and drink out of the pool. He has a creek across the street but this is handier I guess.
I had fun playing with some dies again on this layout. If you think dies are just for cards....you are so missing out on all the fun.

Supplies: American Crafts Sketchbook papers, CS, Tim Holtz rosette die, Magnolia cat die, My Favorite Things cloud die, Cheery Lynn dragonfly die, Fiskars border punch. (all available today at Picture This)  =)

Squiggle Squiggle

I just moved the squiggle patterned paper to clearance the other day to make room for some new arriving and I thought it'd be nice to put a sample above the clearnace section to showcase how easy it is to make a page with it.  I love the bright and cheery colors so I played off that and grabbed a sketch off the internet to make a quick page.  On the close up you can see the gems....they were clear and I colored them to match using a Copic marker. The pretty heart diecut is from Cheery Lynn. We have gotten in a lot of fun dies in the past weeks.

Pink Floral

This page started out as a page for sale but then I was liking how it was turning out so it will be a sample for Picture This. I used the Grand Calibur for the scalloped circle dies and then the Cuttlebug for all the other dies. All the papers sanded are My Minds Eye and it is no secret how I have always loved their papers. (you have got to check out the new lines that just arrived Tues.!!)  I love being able to sand them and coordinating colors are always on the backsides so love that too.  I used Candi  dots in the center of some of the flowers.

Life is Good

This one will be a page-for-sale since it was the last sheet of a paper. I used several Cheery Lynn dies on this page as well.  And the small flower is a MS punch that I have used a lot as well for classes, make-n-takes, samples and P4S's.

Pooped Kitties

The cats were outside more then they usually are Sunday and they were pooped! The first thing they want everytime they come in is food. For the first time ever they all came in and plopped down instead. I had to chuckle.  Too bad I can't have them out for a few hours before bedtime each night....then they'd actually let me sleep past 430-5 am.  I never use an alarm clock because I have 3!!
