Sault Sainte Marie

I got another page done for Ryan for his graduation. I have settled on being happy with just a few pages since I won't get an album done. He went on a trip to Sault Sanite Marie with his youth group 2 years ago. Since it is a page for a boy.....I wanted to get away from the hot pink so pulled the blue of the jeans out instead. Moxie came out with a beautiful sheet of stickers and I used 3 of those on this page and now have more when I get around to his confirmation. I destressed the twill and edges with Vintage Photo ink pad.

Supplies: Graphic 45, Moxie, 7 Gypsies, twill, cardstock, pop dots, Spellbinders and Distress Ink.

Fab 5 Day 5

Welcome to our final day of our Fab 5. We hope you have been enjoying all of the ideas. Be sure to thank my talented staff the next time you are in if you are gaining a lot of inspriation from our Fab 5's. Its more work put on our plates but if they know you all are loving it and getting inspired....it sure makes it easier for me to convince them to do it again =)
I had asked a guest designer to do one of my projects since I knew I was short on time this month. So her post is following this one. But I also managed to get one done myself. So bonus for you...even more ideas!!
Our paper today is from Scrapworks and is double sided again. Don't you love double sided? I do. I am able to use the coordinating side so layering or as in this case....I used it on the inside of the card. (you can't see here but you can see most of our projects from this week displayed at the store for the next few weeks) I colored the animals with Copic Markers. I am loving them more and more each time I use them. I did a close-up on the dog so you can SEE how seamlessly the browns blend. All the colors blend but with other markers....you always get the brushstrokes..especially with brown.
Supplies: Scrapworks paper, Copic Markers, Stampavie Stamps, Prima flowers, Hero Arts gems, Creative Impressions ricrac, Nestabilities die.
Don't forget...today is last day to leave comment on any of our Fab 5 from this week to get your name entered into a drawing to win free product.

Guest Designer

I have a guest designer this week. Cari J. I gave her one of our papers from our Fab 5 to create something with. She was on our Design Team for a 6 month term and now has won in our customer design challenges we just started this year. Cari said she loves a challenge. She did a unique fold for her card and used velcro tabs to seal the card shut. The flower on the front was cut from the remaining of the paper and then pop dotted onto the front. Very nice and thank you Cari for being part of our Fab 5.

Fab 5 Day 2

This paper was probably my least favorite when we started our projects but it turned out to be my favorite project completed this week. Funny how that works. Just goes to show how you can be creative with anything!! The front side of paper had small dots so that is used as my background. The opposite side had larger yellow dots and my circle Nesties fit perfectly so I cut one out and that is the circle the owl is propped on. I decorated the entire inside as well.....something I am starting to get addicted to doing as well. The 'hello friend' is a clear stamp set and I just bent it to fit the circle.
Supplies: TPC paper, Hero Arts stamp, Cuttlebug embossing folder, Marvy pine punch, Prima flowers, bottons, EK Success border punch (on inside), Nesties, pop dots.

Hippity Hop

I took a break from my Fab 5 projects to do this card. I have wanted to use the fence punch and it just was not working into my Fab 5 projects at all so I took a breather so I could just create something with the fence.
I masked the eggs to get the basket full and used a Cloud Template to create the sky.
Supplies:Judith stamps, Paper Cut cardstocks, eyelet snaps, MS punches, Copic markers, Momento ink.
Be sure to tune into our blogs tomorrow...we launch another Fab 5 tomorrow!! Enjoy the spring-like weather today.

One of Those Days

Have you ever had one of those days? I think we all have. I had originally came up with the idea for this card due to my grandmother. She is very fussy over her lawn and she had gotten new neighbors last summer who did not rake their leaves. All the leaves would blow into gma's lawn and she'd have to pay to have someone rake and bag them. Well, my gma is quite feisty and we email each other everyday and I could tell she was getting more and more agitated. She was starting to speak of cutting the limbs off their trees. So I whipped up a card for her with the cat behind bars but it had a coupon on the inside for a 'Get out of Jail Free" pass and to call me when she needed bail. I think I had just as much fun making the card as she did receiving it. She still jokes that she has it.
That is another great reason for making cards....not only is it fun and a stress reducer ....you can customize for those rare occasions that Hallmark just isn't going to have a card for.
Supplies: Judith stamps, Tombow markers, May Arts ribbon, CS, photo anchor and just cut the hole for the jail window and thin strips of cardstock for the bars.

Thanks Very Much

Goodmorning Blog Friends. It is going to be 40 degrees here today!!! Whoo hoo!! So the owl card is appropriate to post today.
This was our free make-n-take last Thursday. Everyone who came to visit us had fun playing with the alcohol inks. They really are easy to work with but can add so much to your projects. The green layer was embossed with the owl folder and then sanded. A sheet of acetate was laid over the top of the image after it was alcohol inked. The metal corner embellie was also inked to match the project.

Supplies: My Minds Eye papers, acetate, American Crafts metal corner, Cuttlebug owl folder, Nesties, Hero Arts stamp set, Ranger alcohol inks.
