Its Your Day

Happy Friday!! Here's a simple card to whip up when need a quick birthday card. Just grab any coordinating papers that are double sided and poof! This is GCD and its a matching solid color on the backsides so then you always have a color to match the prints. I separated the 2 patterns with a thin strip of paper I used a border punch on. Iused left over pieces to make a layer on inside with sentiment in and added another butterfly to the inside.

Winter Scene

I made this card a while back but I have not had time to create today so will share this. We drove to Platteville yesterday for Ryan to check out where he'll be for the next 4-5 years and this scene was similar to what we saw all alone the way. Snowcovered scenery. I used watercolor pencils to get the soft images. And distressed the sides of the ovals with versa ink.

Supplies:Stampendous stamp set, Cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder, Nestabilities oval dies, versa color ink, May Arts ribbon, pop dots.

Fab 5 Day Five

Welcome to out final day of our Fab 5. Be sure to leave a comment by midnight to get in on the drawing.
Our final product for this challenge was Coredinations. We carry the entire line and this is out of the Black Magic collection. It has the black color on the outside and tan on the inside so when you tear or sand...the inner color will shine through. I had Dawn cut me a sisters collage on our Pazzle diecutter and mounted it on the backside of the black coredinations. I ran some of the circles thru various Cuttlebug folders and then sanded and finished with spritzing them with Tattered Angels to add a glimmer to my page.

Supplies:Coredinations, Paper Loft paper, Nestabilities, Cuttlebug, Tattered Angels, sanding block, pop dot and antique brads.

Several of our projects will be on display in the store to get a closer look. Thanks for joining us this week and we hope you were truely inspired with all the ideas.

Fab 5....Day One

Thanks for joining us this week for our Fab 5. We had fun doing it and now we hope you enjoy all the different ideas. Everyone is always saying how hard it is to come up with ideas. So we choose 5 products that had unique challenges and we hope by giving you 5 different ideas with the same product by 5 different Designers with different styles......it will help you.
Comment on any of our Fab 5 blogs this week and your name will go into a drawing and at the end of the week one lucky person will win $25 in product....including a sheet of each paper we used this week.....and you will already have 25 ideas to run with!!! How fun is that!?
Our first assignment was this zigzag paper by Basic Grey. I choose to grab some of the coordinating paper from the same line and make a card. I cut out the bird houses on another paper and some are attached flat and some are popped up for additional demention. I spritzed the entire card with Glimmer Mist when I was finished. It never shows up well on photos but it adds a beuatiful shine to the card to make it more elegant.
Supplies: Basic Grey Porcelain line, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, Worldwin CS, ribbon and mounting foam.
Now hop on over to one of the other blogs to see the same product done differently. Be sure to join us each day this week for more inspiration.

Judith Trees

Two weekends ago I hauled home my "Judith" tree stamp, Stubby stamps and Copics and created several trees. It took me 2 weeks to get them onto a finished card though. I used to use watercolor pencils as my favorite medium. I always tell everyone 95% of my samples at my former store in Eleva were done with watercolor pencils. But now with the discovery of Copic markers in the cardmaking industry.......I will be slowly trying to remake all my samples that have became sun-faded with the Copics. They are more vibrant anyhow. I won't be posting all of them or you will get tired of seeing 'trees'. But you can always pop by the store and check out all that are on display. I have always loved the "Judith" stamps. They are so versital and just plain fun!! Check out our upcoming class list on the website for an all Judith Card Class I'll be teaching in March. You'll see why I have so much fun with her stamps.

Judith Trees

The Easter egg one was done using the large and small egg Judith stubby stamps. I also used the Dorky bird and the basket stamp. I added a bow for a little extra color.
The bunny and carrots one was done using the Judith Dust bunny large stubby and the carrot stamps. I also used the basket stamp for this one and masked it to have it filled with carrots as well as the ones on the tree.
Supplies: Judith stamps, Copic markers, Hero Arts gems, cardstocks.

Judith Trees

The bug is my favorite one. I stuck the Phooey Bug inside the jar and then decorated the bare tree with the mini bug stubby stamps. I also had one falling out of the tree for interest. Just use a black pen to draw lines...or dots in this case.
The graduation one was done using the large diploma and grad hat stubby stamps. I have used the Judith tree a lot over the years and have been limited to what you can add on the front of the card since the tree itself takes up the whole area. But I was estatic yesterday to discover the Cuttlebug borders also fit!! Whoo hoo!!
Supplies: Judith stamps, Copic markers, Whale of Punch, Cuttlebug border folder, Stickles, cardstocks.

Got Snow?

This card seems appropriate for today with up to 5 inches of snow falling. And my sales rep in Michigan says she is getting 12. That should make my husband happy! Him and Ramsey are in upper Michigan snowmobiling this week. Never fails, each year when he goes.....we get dumped on so I have a whole driveway to shovel!

This card is 1 of 3 that will be featured in one of my upcoming classes. One of the 3 cards is very cute but you'll have to check it out at the store. It will be an all "Judith" card class beginning of March.

Supplies: Stamps:Judith, Momento ink, copic markers, My Minds Eye paper, Stickles.

Don't forget to mark your calender for Feb. 15th for our Fab Five!!!

Kitty visit #3

My neighbors kitties were over for a visit this past weekend. They must have known I was in need of a 'kitty fix'. The tiger one has a nasty cold so I had them in all weekend on and off helping fatten them up and keep them warm and give them lovings. No sign of the other 3 siblings. the momma cat wandered over by Sunday though to have a chat with them. lol They were gone this morning so must've obeyed and went back to their shed.
