Pink Poinsettia

This is another card I promised to share from the xmas class. I love the poinsettia die from Spellbinders. I have used them in many projects already. We even showed for one of our make-n-takes how to turn it into a flower to use year round so you get even more for your money!!

I used metallic papers for more of an elegant feel for this card. I added Stickles to the candle flame to give the appearance of it being lit. Its all in the  touches girls. So have fun with your projects.

Supplies: Heartfelt Creations stamp set, Spellbinders and Cuttlebug dies, metallic papers, Crystal Stickles, May Arts ribbon and Fiskars border punch.

Winter Window

I taught this months Christmas Card class and will share 2 of the 3 cards. Each month we offer a xmas class to help you all get a jump start this year. This past year we heard sooooo many say they ran out of time to make their cards and really wanted to. Well, we listened and are tyring to help by offering a new class each month and you will have a variety at the end of year....or fall in love with some to make many of the same.

This one is using the small window die by Memory box and some Tim Holtz dies. The patterned paper in the window had the scene over and over on the paper so you can get several cards from just one sheet. I used Coredinations for the window so it could be sanded for a weathered look. And the Tim Holtz white stain to dab on the trees to give them a snowy effect.

Glitter Rose

Another project from the glitter/flocking class. You can use your stencils in your Cuttlebug machine to emboss and this is another way to use them as well. I love products you get several uses out of.

Magestic Stag

Happy Windy Wednesday. It is very windy here today.  Here is a card from a class last week. The students got to learn how to use the double-sided tape, metal stencils, glitter and flocking to make stunning projects. The stag is done in brown flocking so you have the cool contrast between the glitter and flocking.

Supplies: Glitter, Flocking. My Minds Eye paper, Dreamweaver stencil, Candi dots, ECD double-sided tape, coconut oil soap.

I used to care....

This is the final card from Mondays class. I love layers and layers. And there were some new dies I wanted to play with so I worked them into the design as well. I think this was my favorite out of the three.

Be sure to come see us at the Stamp And Scrap Expo this Sat. in Chippewa Falls. You can get pre-tickets at Picture This for only $3. Or they will be $5 at the door. We were busy little beavers cutting for over 300 make-n-takes for the Expo. It is fun every year. This will be the 5th year we have been a vendor at it.

Supplies: SEI papers, CS, Rose Creation Spellbinders, Memory Box dies, My Favorite Things stamp, May Arts ribbon, brad.

Happy Birthday

I do sketches for cards like most do for layouts. This is from a sketch and then I just matched papers and products I wanted to us to make my own design.  When everything was assembled...then I used crackle on the flame part. When it dries then it cracks and added the perfect touch.

Supplies: Basic Grey papers, Judith stamp, My Favorite Things stamp and die, Spellbinders, Copics, CS and May Arts string.

Cosmo Snack Treats

Dawn made adorable hamster cupcakes for our "Cosmo Crop" attendees and I made these snack mixes for everyone. Little whiskers are drawn on the cheeks too.  And I had to add plenty of sunflowers since he is addicted to them. ha

Princess

Last page from the papers I was working with. I mentioned dies in yesterdays post and how they are great for  scrapbooking too...I can fill areas without investing in stickers. I hardly ever use stickers on my layouts. I did a close up of this vine die so you can see the detail. This die is a Cheery Lynn die and it does the detail all in one swoop thru the Cuttlebug machine. Whenever I have something overlap where a photo will be added....I do not put adhesive on that part. That way you can tuck your photo underneath it.  On the tiny pearls added the center of the flower I custom colored with my Copics to match the page. I love the ability to do that!!

Supplies: Basic Grey, Cheery Lynn die, Spellbinders scallop die, CS, My Minds Eye diecut, Kaiser Kraft flower and pearls, Copic marker, EK Success corner punch.

Sweet Girl

This was made for our pages-for-sale section. Still love making them ...just don't get enough time to do so with all the hats I wear owning a store and being very active in all areas of it. I was using pieces of other projects. The flowers and leaves are Spellbinders dies. If you are a scrapbooker and think the dies are just for card makers....you are really missing out. I have used the Rose Creation die and the foilage die over and over on both pages and cards. So you truely get your moneys worth out of dies. And we carry dies from 4 different vendors so the selection is huge. We love them all!

Supplies: Basic Grey, May Arts suede ribbon and string, CB flower die, Spellbinders dies mentioned above, Tim Holtz bird die, brads.

Fred the Bear

Goodmorning! It is already nice outside. Love the spring like weather in March. I see my iris are already up about 2 inches. The cats all have spring fever too.

This card will will in my upcoming Copic Fun class. I had colored the image months ago and it finally was added to a card. I was specifically working with the papers so the next few post will all have the same paper theme. That is using all the pieces. But then the card turned out so cute that I flipped it into a class card and thus will be using more of the paper anyway. Isn't it a endless cycle with our paper stash? lol

Supplies: Basic Grey, My Favorite Things stamp, Judith sentiment stamp, Copics, CS

Grandma & Me

Happy Sunday! Hope you all opened your windows or walked outside to enjoy the beautiful day. I opened the patio door in my 'studio' at the store to at least smell the fresh air.
This page was a hard one to make and I started and stopped several times. I lost my grandma this past September and she was my best friend, mother and grandma all rolled into one for me so it was a toughy but I know she is at peace now.
The color contrast between our 2 shirts made the selection of paper hard but when Dawn created this cool circle layout I saw a perfect way to inject some of the wild colors without it being over-powering.
She was being goofy this day. I was trying to get another photo of us and she was being a stitch.

Simple Layout

Whoo hoo...I got to create a page-for-sale today!! There was only 1 sheet of the Basic Grey patterned paper left so I matched the periwinkle (which does not look well in photo but actually is) and I wanted to throw in a odd color you wouldn't normally do.  And I have not really gotten to play with my Tim Holtz mini dress form die so I added one of them as well for the accent and matching brads. Poof! A page.

Lucy fetches

Some girls have been waiting for a glimpes of the critters so here is a photo of Lucy. She actually fetches her toy balls. It has to be her balls....she will not do it with her play mice or any other toy. And unfortunately the balls just disappear. I only find a fraction of the missing underneath couches and appliances so its a mystery where the rest go.  Shadow stays safely off to the side otherwise he would just be plowed right over when she chases the ball. I wake up in the mornings with 1-5 todays of hers in bed next to me. She is a silly cat for sure. I think they are like her security blanket....keep in mind she lost her mom and siblings when she was way too young.

Fab 5 ~ Medley papers

Welcome to Fab 5!!  Be sure to check out all the other PT gals blogs today for lots of inspiration.
I choose the Down South Medley with the mountain view and put it behind a window die for a beautiful scenery out the window.
I was an interior designer for 12 years so this was really fun decorating a mini living room. I added the chair rail and a swag above the window.  I have had customers use our beautiful paper selection as wall papers for their miniture doll houses so I browsed the isles for a paper that would work for my 'wallpaper' and match the medley design I chose.
Then I carried the theme through to the inside and made a picture frame with the sentiment for the wall. Fun. Fun. It is endless what you can do on your cards and pages.

Supplies: Down South Medley, Memory Box small window die, Basic Grey paper, Great Impressions table/vase stamp and sentiment, MS twig and hydrangea punch.

Don't forget to check out the other gals blogs today as well.
