White Elegance

I did a spring floral class Tuesday night so will be posting the cards from class. Since it has been a very cold May.....might as well create our own flowers. The embossing folder is a Couture and the flowers are a My Favorite Things die. The leaves are Memory Box.
You can see in the close up that I never leave the flowers flat. How boring. Use your stylus and a mouse pad to add texture to all your flowers.

Softer side of Graphic 45

This is the backside of a G45 Ladies Diary paper.
I used one of the new flower strips by Cheery Lynn for the flowers and a Candi Dot in the center.

Living Legend

I needed a single page for the start of the album so I simply used a photo and a vellum quote on graduation. We have these vellum quotes throughout the store in every theme imaginable. I can not read most of them without tearing up.

My boys

Saturday I did a couple pages and then called it quits for what I will get done for the album for graduation. Then worked on the trifold board. You can tell I am crunched for time........no foofoo or anything extra on the page. So not your typical Leann-style.

Rolo Grad Hat

I saw this cute idea on the webosphere and had to try it for my sons graduation. The original idea had grossgrain ribbon around the Rolo candy. I used some of the paper I custom ordered. (which can be done for anyone with a months notice)
Then I cut a think sliver of white card stock and cut the ends for the tassles. And 2 pieces of red cardstock for the top. I popdotted between the 2 layers.

Platteville

We took our oldest to campus for his orientation and they take the students off on their own so we wandered and there is this massive tree at UWP. I took a photo and then had my youngest stand in front of it so show how huge the tree really is. There is a story to go along with the tree but I do not remember. And I called my son, who just finished his 3rd year there, and neither him nor his roommate know the story either. So sorry...can't share.
I used a Memory Box tree die for an accent on the page. And pop dotted a set of the leaf clusters.
And also used some Memory Box cloud dies as well.  I convince a lot of scrapbookers who thought dies are only for card makers that they are very very useful on pages as well!! And we carry the hugest selection of dies around.

Camping

I am just randomly scrapbooking photos for my sons graduation. Whatever tickles my fancy. I thought these would be fun since one page is from 2004 and the other is from 2006.
We have marshmellow diecuts for sale at PT and I just used the Chery Bloosoms branches from a Spellbinders die set for the sticks. The edges are inked a little on the marshmellows to look real. (doesn't show up well in this photo but looks sweet in person)
The cute little campfire is also a diecut available in the store. LeAnn C. used a smaller version of this for smores treats she made and gave to all the gals on our Bus Trip two Saturdays ago.  We have hundreds of diecut designs throughout the store to help make your pages pop and easier.

Confirmation

Got to sneak into my backroom and create a couple pages Thursday. So whoo hoo....a few more to add to Ramsey's album for graduation. This is his confirmation from 2010. I used the new Spellbinders Cross die set for the added accent that tied the whole page together then.

Summer has arrived

I love the Spellbinder fancy oval die.
Inside using last scraps of the patterned paper from all the cards and a MS butterfly punch.
Just another idea with yet the same dies and paper.

Today my oldest comes home from his 3rd year of college. (where does the time go?!)  And next Saturday my  youngest graduates from high school. So prewarning that there may be a gap in posts agian for a bit.

Now that summer weather has finally arrived....I hope you get to enjoy it.

Bus Tour 2013

We have had our Customer Thrift Sale, Craft Sale and Bus Trip in the past month and half too. The bus trip was just this past Saturday with Barron and Bloomington. So we started our customers out here at 8 am with their breakfast, 2 make-n-takes and an exclusive bus special. Then we sent them on their merry way and reset for the next bus. We fed the next bus from Bloomington lunch, 2 make-n-takes and their special for shopping. Then we reset for the 3rd bus from Barron. We all do a round robin. They got an awesome dessert bar with too many choices to choose from so they usually end up taking several to sample.

We made water bottles for all of the buses and 2 make-n-takes for each bus. (that is a lot of cutting gals) We even decorated a cute princess table this year for some to eat at and for photo op with their friends under the twinkle lights. It all was a lot of fun again this year. Hearing nothing but possitive feedback from everyone too so then you know all the hard work that goes into these events is worth it.

Hard to say goodbye

We lost our store mascot April 1st. He lived a long and very spoiled life here for 3 1/2 years at Picture This. They usually only live 2-3 years.   One of his long time fans left a note for him and I know she still misses our little critter. He was quite the character and will never be another like him. Thats for sure.

Here Daisy was saying hi to Cosmo on her 1st day of arrived at Picture This. Her photo is missing in previous post so wanted to be sure to include and it tied right in with saying goodbye to Cosmo.

Kitty Adoptions going great!!

We have been busy adoption kitties out too here at Picture This for the animal shelter. We started 2 1/2 months ago with Clyde and we had helped them adopt out 5 already!! That is sooo exciting. I hope more businesses see the success and also start fostering cats for adoption.
Clyde was our first one and he was here a little over a month before he found his forever home.
Daisy was 2nd and sorry but no photo in my 'pictures' while doing this. She was adopted in less than 48 hours to one of our customers so we get updates on her. She is spoiled well like the diva she was meant to be.
Then we had Alley. Miss Alley Cat. I loved her eyes. She got adopted by a very nice family with 3 kids and she is doing great as well. They had popped in a month after adopting her to drop off a half bag of cat food for our current ECCHA resident as they switched her food.
Then there was Maddie and Sassy.  Loved these 2 and was sooo glad when one of our customers adopted them. We get regular updates on them as well. I love hearing how they are all doing snce we get quite attached to them while they are in our care. Sassy is now Sammy and he give hugs. I miss his sweet hugs.
And our current ECCHA kitty resident is Bluto. He is waiting for his forever home. He has to be an only critter. He is such a sweety and I hope he gets his home soon.

You can  follow all the cats stories on our Picture This Kitty Adoption Tails Facebook page.

Been gone...Been busy

                                                                      After
                                                                         Before
                                                               Before

Hello!! Been awhile but with being open Mondays again....I had to let something slide to keep up with everything else going on.  One of the undertakings was redoing our lower bathroom for our sons graduation. It should have been a day project but ended up taking over a month. Urgh. And if I ever move....I will NEVER buy a house that has floor to ceiling wallpaper again. Ever. It was a beast to remove. Then they gave the wrong paint color. And then it was not semi gloss and top half was so it needed to be. So the bottompart was painted 3X twice before that was accomplished.
But it is all done now and I like the final results. And all the men use this bathroom so they appreciate the masculine tones. ha
