More pages

Last of pages I am sharing from the weekend. The masculine one turned out pretty cool so I may end up keeping it for myself for one of my boys pages.  If you look at the star...it was actually cut from the photo matting paper but I placed the die so it would cut the design out to match the star. And then I zoomed in on the latest tool I have been having fun with .....Tim Holtz mini attacher!! The staples are teeny and add that little extra. I cross-stapled them to form stars to match the rest of the layout. Distressed the edges of everything a little with his inks and poof! A page.  You can learn all these tricks we use by taking a class. The designers are always teaching techniques in our classes and you learn the different short cuts, fav tools and so much more each time you take a class with each of our designers.

Ladybug, ladybug

The paper had the beautiful flower garden on it so I only added the framing for the photo and a sun  and glammed it up a tad by adding Stickles to the ladybugs and hearts. Once again I added a flight pattern for more interest. The tiny ladybug print was the backside of the paper and since it was a 'last sheet wonder'....I had to cut the 5x7 out of the paper where I would be repacing it. But I then added a few mats to it to make it larger then the hole I originally cut so I had room to reglue it back down. I also added the picket fence at the bottom of the photo mat since it just seemed to go with this layout. The sunshine was inked to give it dimension as well.

Spring Butterflies

Goodmorning on this rainy day. At least my page will brighten your spirits. Bright and cheery. I had worked over the weekend on stocking our pages-for-sale back up so the next few posts will be sharing some that I made. They were all done using 'last sheets' so the paper is no longer available at PT.

For this one I cut the main paper so I had a 3x12 piece and a 9x12 piece. The flowers were a little over-powering for the entire background and since the double-sided paper had coordinating color on the back....that is the other half of the page. I just attached them to a 12x12 white cardstock. Then hid the seam with a scalloped border punch. The various butterflies were punches out of matching colors and I drew a flight pattern on one for added interest.

Beautiful Story

Happy Monday!! Less then a week until the Annual Customer Thrift Sale. The boxes will start to arrive today and by Friday we have a full classroom each year and then Saturday everyone gets to come shop for awesome deals.
I created over the weekend. Saturday I made a bunch of pages for sale from last sheets left. I love doing that. And someone had bought 20 Friday so I really needed to get more made. I will share some of them this week.
Then yesterday I was working on classes and ended up doing a card kit as well.  The inside is as pretty as the outside.

Happy Easter

Wishing everyone a Happy Easter. This photo seemed fitting for today. It is the only flower blooming in my entire flower bed. And the snow from the previous post......it was blooming prior to that so survived the layer of snow.

Really!!?.....Snow Agian!

Its pretty but enough is enough. Thankfully we didn't get as much as south of us.  These were a couple photos I snapped on drive to work this morning. I would have loved to have gotten the shot of the poor geese in the little creek but just not safe parking along the highway.

Hard Saying Goodbye

A very elegant sympathy card. I am in a butterfly mood lately. I am trying to wish spring here. (not working since they used that nasty 'snow' word in the forcast again this morning)
I used border puches on front and a strip of twill down the middle and a beautiful Sizzix embossing folder on the inside.

Supplies: Spellbinder oval dies, Sizzix folder, twill, MS butterfly punch, Impression Obsession stamp and Just Rite stamp, Daisy D's paper, CS, Tim Holtz ink.

Sending Smiles

This glittery paper has been a favorite here lately with spring. We have used it on several projects. On the inside of the white circle I gently drug a lilac ink pad over it to soften the harsh white.  And carried the
spring theme thru to inside with the picket fence border punch. The inside paper is the backside of the front glittery paper.

Supplies: Spellbinder dies, MS butterfly and fence punch, CS, Tim Holtz embossing folder.

Birdcage Elegance

This is using Basic Grey papers and I trimmed the birdcage out. There are actually several on the sheet to make many card fronts. Added a soft green Label behind it and jazzed it up with some bling.

Supplies: Basic Grey papers, CS, Spellbinders Label, Hero Arts pearl, Kaiser Kraft flower, flower punches and pop dots.

April Fab 5 ~ Day Five

Last day of this months Fab 5.  We hope you were inspired.  I had to literally whip this one up just now. I used the new foilage Spellbinders dies by leafs. Love that they put holes in the back so it is way easier to remove the cut cardstock now.   The base of card was embossed and then labels were also used for the tree part.

Here us just some quick bonus ideas using the same Hero Arts stamp set. Since I had it out and had some leftover pieces on my work area....poof! Its a fun set....I believe we have 3 sets left for sale in store. The oval
Nesties was also used along with little Copic coloring on leaves and Tim Holtz Distress Stickles was used on top card and right card.

April Fab 5 ~ Day Four

Whoo hoo! I got to play with a brand new stamp within days of arriving!! This is a cute one from the last shipment of My Favorite Things we received.  I used one of the labels for the sentiment and then the circles again.  I had planned on using a shaped one in place of the square but it just wasn't working out the way I envisioned it. I added a tiny bit of Stickles to the wings.

Supplies: Spellbinders dies, My Favorite Things stamps, MS picket fence punch, Copics, Judith bee stubby, Memento ink, Basic Grey papers, CS, Cloud Stencil and Stickles.

April Fab 5 ~ Day Three

Today's card I used another Label and carried it through to inside again. On the inside I used a Fancy Tags die. The Fancy Tags get used a lot and are really versatile.  The Spellbinders....just like the Cuttlebug...make creating your projects so quick and easy with great results.

Supplies: Spellbinders, Magnolia stamps, Copics, Basic Grey paper, Swiss Dots Cuttlebug, pop dots, CS.
Here is a bonus card for the day. I try to use up all of my papers and this card was actually made before the Fab 5. It was a prior class and now some are on the floor as Card Kits for sale. It is using a Spellbinder border and the circles. I knew I had the left over paper so I just pulled out a stamp and my Copics and choose colors to coordinate.

Supplies: Spellbinders, Basic Grey paper, CS, Hero Arts pearls, May Arts ribbon, Pebbles Inc sticker, pop dot.

April Fab 5 ~ Day Two

For todays I used a Labels and the circle/scallop circles. I carried the labels thru to the inside as well  and that mimicks the front of the card.  This  image is a new Stamp Avie and I think I will use this image for a Copic 101 as it uses a few different techniques.  Once again, it was fun to go to our Buffet Bar here at Picture This and pick one brad off it for my project.

Supplies: Spellbinders dies, Stamp Avie stamp, Copic markers and Blender, EK Success paw border punch, ribbon, Memento ink, XPress CS.

April Fab 5 ~ Day One

Welcome to another fun week of Fab 5!! This month we are featuring Spellbinders dies. I used scalloped circles, circles and the dotted circle for this card. I embossed one of the background circles to add another layer of interest. You can see on the close up the lovely layering capability with the Copic markers. I put Glossy Accents on the cats nose....I always do on my cats and dogs since they have wet noses. And if you look at the whisker area....I lightly touched the Copic Blender pen to the black dots to create light spots. The blender works like an eraser in that it pushes color away. You can learn more about Copics in any of our Copic classes.

Supplies: Spellbinders dies, Judith stamps, Copics, May Arts strings, Glossy Accents, CS.
